There’s so many commonly used phrases with a problematic past. In fact, the past is and always will be problematic.

“It was a cakewalk” has slavery origins.

“No can do” originated to demean Chinese railroad workers.

There’s so many more that everyone in here uses every day.

I don’t know I guess I find it weird to pick and choose. Is it because this one has the word cotton in it? It’s a little too on the nose?

I looked those up and yeah those are cringe. When Im old enough where the kids are making ok xennial memes Im just going to pretend to be mute or something because Im not gonna get canceled over blurting out that's what she said when the kids are having a conversation on the future internet over implied consent.
