Harris 2024 election thread

It is much better for the country to be "of the corporation, by the corporation and for the corporation"? Or I should say "of the stockholders, by the stockholders and for the stockholders"

That is the agenda of the right.
I agree with this. 👆

But how do you reconcile that donors just had a large hand in ending a sitting president's run for someone who didn't get a vote? Is the DNC of the donors, for the donors, and by the donors?

I never said that that donors didn't have a large hand in ending Biden's run.

Tell me why you think this particular woman is fit to run the country please? I have not heard the platform yet?

She's the sitting VP so she has experience with an administration inside the oval office. Prior to that she was a senator serving on the budgetary, intelligence, and judiciary committees. And before that she was the attorney general for the most populated state in the nation.

Compare that to her opponent's VP pick who has less than 2 years of actual political experience, or her opponent who had no political experience (which was painfully obvious during his first campaign). Yet no one who is questioning her experience has questioned theirs. What's up with that?

I'd assume a large portion of the people who voted for Biden did so with the knowledge that there was a really good chance Harris would assume the Presidency at some point in the next 5 years.

Also, right now, it's only a presumed nomination. Any Dem that wants to can step up and announce their candidacy if they want to. We can debate why no one else is running (although we all know why), but as of right now it's hard to argue that voters are being suppressed when there isn't anyone else to vote for.

That's why its effortless to argue votes are being suppressed.....when money can remove a sitting president from the ticket and keep anyone else from having a chance (the same money that pushed Biden out controls the super delegates so no one else has a chance...ask Bernie) that's about as voter suppressing as it gets.

Every Democrat I know feels a sense of relief and hope after Biden dropped out. Kamala broke all kinds of records for fundraising this week. Republicans saying Dem votes were stolen or suppressed when Biden dropped out are just like white progressives being offended for Latino people and insisting everyone call them Latinx.

Nothing to do with Super Delegates...there are 700 super Delegates and they did NOT have to do anything for Harris

The regular Delegates were released by Biden to vote for whomever they wanted ....just exactly like Niki Haley's Delegates were released and she encouraged them to vote efor Trump

So after Biden released his delegates...as of last night she had approximately 3100 delegates who have voted for her

Now if the 3000+ delegates released by Biden split their vote and were undecided and no one got the needed number of delegates..THEN the 700 Super Delegates stepped in and hand picks who they wanted...then you might have a good point .....but that isn't what happened

Same exact thing that happened with Haley's Delegates for Trump happened with Biden's Delegates for Harris

No one complained then

People can choose to donate or not based on their support. He could have attempted to raise funds from other people. Saying that the wealthy donors forced him out by not donating any more is kind of an odd view. They chose to stop supporting him, he realized he had little to no chance and his support was falling through the floor. Not sure what would have happened a week or two later but he was requested to drop out, it was his decision to follow.

This. Bidens delegates could have said no when she asked for their support but they didn't. On top of that no one else has entered the race. Who do these disenfranchised voters want to vote for right now?

He withdrew after being asked repeatedly to do so… I think he was starting to believe what they were telling him…that he would not be able to do his job four more years…
That’s why he said he was staying in the day before. Life moves fast for Joe….fine, sharp, best pres ever June 15th in undeniable decline June 16th. Strongly stating he was staying in the race one day epiphany the next and dropping out.

That’s one helluva stutter
