The US is 4.3% of the Entire Worlds Population.
I PROMISE you, China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam etc etc etc will find buyers for their Products and will not be in a Recession and they will sell them to other countries and other people and they will still make a profit.
The Sheer ignorance and Ego of American's who think that less than 5% of the entire Earth's populations spending habits will sink the entire Global market and create a world wide recession is ignorant.
can we impact the global market significantly...yes. Can we manipulate world markets significantly.....Yes.
Does the World need America to continue to create and sell cheap goods to other countries....Not at all.
I just posted this same thought in the Trump thread. It’s complete insanity to isolate and bully the way we are playing this out. Part of the problem is I really think Bessent understands this and is trying to nudge Trump this direction but he has Navarro, Miller and Bannon to contend with.
I'm figuring Bessent is hanging around long enough to get a great book deal out of this after he gets canned and then Trump says "gay men aren't potent enough to run a whole department" or something like that.
He's trying, but it ain't easy-

What's frustrating is that not matter how dumb they look in Congressional hearings, it won't impact actions the administration takes or even opinions of a lot of people.
