It seems like the homers and the walks Kelly has allowed are part of a cycle. She misses off the outside corner so much, like she's afraid to miss too much over the plate and just trust her stuff, because it might get hammered. There she walked a girl on 5 pitches, went outside on 4 of them and only hit the corner once.

Next batter she goes from 1-2 to a walk, and wasn't even close on three straight pitches. Bases now loaded.

My point: it seems mental. Trying to make the perfect pitch.
