Conference Realignment - What's next?

After hearing about ASU’s and Utah’s resistance to joining the XII, they can pound sand. Let ‘em go to the MWC. We already have Utah and Arizona in our footprint. Come on O and W.
It's hilarious to me they talk smack about the Big 12 being a "truck stop conference" when truck stops are all thats going to sustain them on those lonely stretches of I80 and I40 from SLC/Tempe to Albuquerque/Laramie for their mountain west games vs Wyoming and New Mexico. I have heard that the lot lizards on I80 are of elite caliber though, maybe that's where the snobbiness stems from?

yeah, i'm hesitant to use anything he says, but it isn't just him. he is just a drop in an ever growing number of sources that are pointing that AZ is leaving . Lots of Smoke...no fire yet.

Their board of trustees apparently voted unanimously last night to leave the Pac 12 and the Board of Regents sched a previously unplanned meeting for this morning.

And rumors are the meeting is for after when the PAC 12 presents the TV deal revenue sharing numbers which right now is rumored at $20 million per school with Apple + and Amazon the leading bidders for the TV rights which would lead to most games being streamed and not on major networks .
Jason Scheer is the guy to follow on realignment, along with McMurphy.

Irrespective of the current climate and rumor mill, some of these institutions needs a wake up call badly.

The Oregon State's of the world, Utah, ASU, Washington State, Boise, NC State, Va Tech, Louisville, hell even Oregon and Washington missing their AAU status should be banding together. Instead you see unearned superiority complexes and allegiances to conferences that don't even exist anymore, like the current PAC9. (Looking at you Oregon, Oregon State and primarily Utah fan.)

I don’t like Utah, but they are a power and would definitely enhance the league’s credibility on the field. Other than them, O and W are the only ones I’d like to get. The rest of them need to head to the mountains.
Utah's snootiness I can somewhat understand, they have been top of the conference in football the last several seasons. They're too full of themselves and have too quickly forgotten what it was like to be in the MW, but at least they've done well in the PAC since joining.

OrSt and their snootiness makes ZERO sense. They've been garbage at everything outside of baseball save 1 season out of the last 15+. What, they taste the football top 25 last year, make one miracle basketball run, and now think they're invincible? A reality check is quickly coming their way that they're infinitely closer in status to Colorado State than they are to their in-state rival Oregon. There's a reason all the talk is around UO/UW/Utah/AZ/ASU, and it's because nobody gives a rats' behind about any other school past those 5. Have fun in the MW Beavs.

PAC12 board meeting concludes with no deal reached and nothing more than plans to meet again.

LMFAO for as much as we rightly have faulted our commissioners for flubbing realignments in the past, Kliavkoff is putting on a master class in incompetence before our very eyes.

Pac-12 leaders receive details of media deal, but no vote to accept terms as future remains murky

I welcome anyone but Utah and Oregon State
Our game in Corvallis 2-3 years ago was great. Weather was good. Stands were not full but there was a lot of activity around the stadium which is walking distance to the riverfront downtown where there are a lot of restaurants, bars and outdoor events. People were very hospitable and many went out of their way to chat us up. Yeah, programs suck, but a good small town football atmosphere

This media deal kinda sounds like a pyramid scheme lol
