Coach Gundy

Gundy addressed the fans.

"I have to have a better feel for a broad picture of the organization in general," Gundy said. "Kind of the synopsis of all of this is that this place has had tremendous success for 18 and a half years or 19. I can't do the math real good, but unfortunately in life, most people are weak, and as soon as things start to not go as good as what they thought, they fall apart and they panic, and then they want to point the finger and blame other people. You see it happen in everyday life. People do it all the time. That's why I refuse to watch the TV and watch the news, because I get tired of people complaining and bitching about this and that versus just doing something about it and trying to figure out a way to make it better. Well, that's what happens in college athletics. And as Jenni said, she's exactly right: it's just on the bigger stage where people can voice their opinion, and in most cases, the people that are negative and voicing their opinion are the same ones that can't pay their own bills. They're not taking care of themselves. They're not taking care of their own family. They're not taking care of their own job. But they have an obligation to speak out and complain about others because it makes them feel better. But then, in the end, when they go to bed at night, they're the same failure that they were before they said anything negative about anybody else."

He really is tone deaf. So many better ways to handle this than spitting in the eyes of those who have supported him and his product.

I really believe he thinks he’s bigger than the university. Very much, “screw you guys, we’ll see how much you miss me when I’m gone” vibes.

That’s one of the worst statements I’ve ever seen from a coach who’s team is failing miserably and who’s clearly not doing his job,

The $8million/year man is mad that the common folk are questioning his decisions. Bro, you chose this profession; there’s a reason why it pays $8millon/year.

I bet we’d be surprised on how good of a coach we can find for $6million/year and improve the budget for a great staff. That’s exactly how Gundy’s career started. He hired great assistants, paid them more, and he didn’t get paid top 15 money.

The beatings will continue until morale improves…

So what about us fans that are supporting our family, Go to work everyday, Pay our own bills? Does that mean we aren’t failures and are justified about complaining?

Honestly that response is absolutely inappropriate and probably in response to the fan saying we are paying for this sh…

I cannot think Dr Shrum is in anyway happy with this

I honestly can't think of a single OSU fan that fits this profile or narrative. Mike is off his rocker.

This is some bullshit. F Gundy. Everyone on the planet can see that Bowman is a terrible quarterback. He makes terrible decisions and can't pass worth crap. Rangel would have won us a few more games. Having high school coordinators and schemes isn't working.

But you don't get to make $7 or $8 million dollars a year and tell your fans off. What happened to him being a man and telling us we could come after him? Asshat. I am done with cowboy football until he is out or he decides to be a man and accept his criticisms.

I made the commitment about 5 years ago to worry about my family so, Mike's advise is a little late. I quit spending the $7,500 on football and basketball tickets. Also saved all the time and money not having to travel, pay for meals and rooms. If I remember right basketball sucked and we were stuck with a sullen Mike Gundy who had recently flirted with the Tennessee job. Now every other year the wife and I can enjoy a nice two week overseas trip. I think his advice is solid.

Sports Animal is blasting him for this. A number of fans texting in about how upset they are, this is ABSOLUTELY insane for him to address his fan base like this.
I’m so pissed that I’m back for more!🤬

What kind of an arrogant dumbass takes this stance? Your job is to win fn games dude and you’re sucking at it-so your take is that people just like to bitch and point fingers (while you’re on a SIX game skid) and that anyone doing that is a worthless dumbass???

Here’s your fn mirror dipshit!!!

Micheal Saylor says that anyone who holds fiat and not bitcoin is what we call poor.

Mike Gundy believes anyone who criticizes him is poor.

I guess the lesson here is don’t be poor and buy bitcoin and support Mike Gundy if not you are a loser lol not financial advice lol

Indiana HC is only making $4.25Mil... undefeated this year and put JMU on the map the last couple years before he got to Indiana.

I listened to the entire thing. Either I am slow, obviously a possibility, but i didn't feel like he thought there was much to change. If i understood he thought the defense had a good plan just missed some tackles.
