Border problem.

Once again we have R on R crime.

There are Republican Governors supporting a Republican Governor to defy a Republican appointed majority on the Supreme Court bc the Republicans in Congress & Senate refuse to take up legislation crafted in part by Republicans bc a former Republican President doesn’t want to secure the border for the next 52 weeks. And when Republicans controlled the White House, House and Senate they did absolutely zero to address the issue via legislation. Sure some of the wall was built but Mexico didn’t pay for it and it seems to be doing a bang up job.

We have a problem at the southern border bc Republicans refuse to do anything about it.
 
Didn’t they ask for like $7 billion to build a wall and get their teeth kicked in? Didn’t they pass an immigration bill in the house with zero Democrat support only to die in the Senate?

Johnson was already deeply skeptical of any bipartisan compromise on border policy, which would be necessary to clear the Senate. On Friday, he again pointed to a sweeping set of immigration measures that the House passed last year as being the answer to the nation's border challenges. But that bill failed to gain a single Democratic vote then and has virtually no chance of picking up Democratic support now.

Ideological purit never works in this country. And the Rs in the Senate knew that would never work politically or in the real world.

$7B at 5% pays for a border patrol agent for every mile of the southern border. Realizing that’s 1 per 24 hours which is not realistic but the gist is deploy Human Resources where that$ gets returned back into the economy and creates other jobs.

Secure the border w people and technology. Fix immigration policy.

Sure. Great strategy. Let’s pass a completely partisan bill that has zero chance in the senate and a Democratic White House.

But they can go on Fox/Newsmax/Xwitter and raise crap tons of $. Then when there’s a shot at a bipartisan bill co-authored by one of the most conservative members of the Senate they bail bc mango Mussolini wants to leave our border like it is for 52 weeks and possibly beyond.

Show me your serious about the border.

One border agent is going to cover a mile of border by himself ? Probably takes 4 at least and 3 shifts. With 1950 miles of border and 12 agents/mile making $50k/Yr your up to almost $1.2b/yr (17% of 7b) in salary alone. That’s 7,800 agents on duty at any given time and there are currently 10,000 apprehensions/day. It is completely and utterly impossible without physical barriers.

Remind me again what immigration legislation the democrats passed in 21-22 when they had control of the House, Senate, and White House .

I can guarantee a bunch of old guys in Oklahoma have no clue how to solve immigration and border security.

I realize there’s no way to cover a border w entirely Human Resources. But it’s going to take more humans and more technology and less physical barrier.

Bottom line magastanians and progressives are not serious about their solutions to immigration and border security.

Then you are not following. Ackman is a HUGE longtime donor of the Democratic National Committee, including a major funder of influential Democrats like Charles Schumer. Ackman is an activist and has very recently soured on Biden. Biden’s inaction at the border, record border crossings, previous decisions ending Title 42, and his confusing political theater attempting to stop Texas from securing it border…is going to lose Dems millions in donations. And that is a big deal for 2024 elections.
