Spot on. Coach G essentially said this in postgame TV interview. We weren’t going to be bullied around and the team just refused to lose.

I think you can take the arguably out of that statement since Coach Smith retired. What he’s done with this program is nothing short of a miracle. We are a national power in softball now.

I think you can take the arguably out of that statement since Coach Smith retired. What he’s done with this program is nothing short of a miracle. We are a national power in softball now.

I use “arguably” as a CYA word but hard to argue against Coach G success on the field. I also really like that he rarely will use an excuse if we play poorly or lose (which doesn’t happen often). One more thing is that “culture” is thrown around way too loosely in sports/business IMHO. However, you can sense from outside looking in that this is not lip service with respect to the softball program. The Cowgirl Way is alive and well!
