Texas probably wins the Big 12 tomorrow but they know Coach G is their daddy.
We'll be #2. Texas will be #1, unless maybe Tech can pull a huge upsetWill we be the number one team on Monday since we beat both Texas and OU? Probably not since OU wasn't number 1 when we beat them.
Took the final bedlam cup over them, including in their two proudest areas of football and softball. To quote Ollie Gordon: "There's only one Oklahoma and it ends in State!"
Spot on. Coach G essentially said this in postgame TV interview. We weren’t going to be bullied around and the team just refused to lose. This is what happens when you punch them
In the mouth and continue to deliver haymakers
This series win is no fluke and OU players and fans know itWe are FINALLY the better softball team
Huge credit to Eberle and Shippy, their players are delivering on a huge stage.I also love how coach G utilized his players after college. Eberle and Fletcher (Shipley) being on the staff has helped SO much. Not only kudos to coach G but kudos to those 2 as well.
I think you can take the arguably out of that statement since Coach Smith retired. What he’s done with this program is nothing short of a miracle. We are a national power in softball now.I will repeat this until blue in the face, but Coach G is arguably the best coach on campus.
I use “arguably” as a CYA word but hard to argue against Coach G success on the field. I also really like that he rarely will use an excuse if we play poorly or lose (which doesn’t happen often). One more thing is that “culture” is thrown around way too loosely in sports/business IMHO. However, you can sense from outside looking in that this is not lip service with respect to the softball program. The Cowgirl Way is alive and well!I think you can take the arguably out of that statement since Coach Smith retired. What he’s done with this program is nothing short of a miracle. We are a national power in softball now.

Well said LA!I'd say our women's teams coaches have been on fire lately. Looking at the tennis team as well, high front runner for the national championship.
