So since he took over X, there has been more and more white supremacy/racist posts. Theres a readon so many companies stopped advertising there. Can only assume that change is because he agrees with these views, since anything he disagrees with gets hidden or removed. He did grow up in apartheid South Africa.Racist?
Nope. I'm not. I want the next 4 years to go as well as possible.Lol. No you’re not. You are rooting for them to fail.
More white supremacy and racist posts on X? Do you have stats for that?So since he took over X, there has been more and more white supremacy/racist posts. Elon Musk’s X runs ads on #whitepower and other hateful hashtags
A review by NBC News found X running ads on 20 racist and antisemitic hashtags more than 18 months after Musk said that he would demonetize hate posts.www.nbcnews.com
Racism, misogyny, lies: how did X become so full of hatred? And is it ethical to keep using it?
Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, I and many others have been looking for alternatives. Who wants to share a platform with the likes of Andrew Tate and Tommy Robinson?www.theguardian.com
Verified pro-Nazi X accounts flourish under Elon Musk
An NBC News review identified 150 verified "Premium" accounts that have posted or amplified pro-Nazi content.www.nbcnews.com
No I dont have stats, I have article after article on the subject and advertising dropping because they saw the same trends. Companies tend to not like their ads right next to racist posts.More white supremacy and racist posts on X? Do you have stats for that?
And implying that because he grew up in apartheid South Africa makes him a racist?
So “it doesn’t make you racist” vs your earlier post of “he became a racist”. Which one is it?No I dont have stats,
Doesn't make you racist, but people tend to follow what they grew up around.
I must have missed it. What will the taxpayers be giving him as salary for his role in this administration? I honestly don’t know. Who are these close friends and what roles are they filling?Musk "doing it for free".

Musk has become the “most influential” member of the president-elect’s orbit, according to two people close to the transition. The world’s richest man has been sitting in on meetings and interviews with candidates for cabinet positions, joining Trump’s calls with foreign leaders such as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and recruiting friends and allies for crucial positions in the government.
.....
Musk personally spent $200 million to elect Trump, according to people familiar with the matter, an extraordinary amount for an individual and more than the billionaire had publicly indicated. After The Wall Street Journal reported in July that Musk privately told people he would donate about $45 million a month to his pro-Trump super PAC, Musk said he was donating at a “much lower level.” (I'm sure he isn't thinking he will get any of that back)
......
But even as he has threatened to cut jobs, Musk has in the past week turned to close friends to fill new government roles that could also affect his six companies, including Tesla, SpaceX and X, people close to the transition and Musk say. (ding,ding,ding- We have a winner!!!!)
I think you may be correct.Gaetz as AG seems like a sacrificial nomination to me. Kind of a "take the attention off the rest" kind of thing. Approve of all the others that may have been fought cause they can't wait to completely NUKE this clown.
I say 0% chance he gets approved
We already discusses that “salary” is as pointless of a question for him as “will he get free coffee or does he have to chip in at the office.” The max is could possibly be is $400k. That aint the issue. You can read what the WSJ wrote as well as I can. Funny that you don’t feel the news to have every detail when you are making claims about the current administration.I must have missed it. What will the taxpayers be giving him as salary for his role in this administration? I honestly don’t know. Who are these close friends and what roles are they filling?
I was saying exactly what you thought I said but ignored to spin. No, not everyone from South Africa is racist. Not everyone from an area is the exact same, but many have common opinions due to sinilar upbringing and experiences. So no it doesn't "make you racist". But it was an apartheid country for a reason. Rich white families (Musk family was rich and white) often supported it. I'm saying it opulent be unheard of considering his childhood. And add to that the changes to how X handles racist posts seem to add up. Don't claim he doesn't prevent views he disagrees with as that's been shown many times. So “it doesn’t make you racist” vs your earlier post of “he became a racist”. Which one is it?
I know you don’t have stats but your partisan opinion articles are not facts.
BTW, Nelson Mandela grew up in South Africa. Growing up in South Africa does not make you a racist.
Nothing funny about it. We know what the current administration has done and is or isn’t doing. All of the pearl clutching on here for the last week, Musk included, is pure speculation about what might happen and I think it fair to ask for proof when accusations are made . Sorry to rustle your jimmies. I read the article and, yeah, pretty much speculation. Honestly, I share your concerns about Elon but I’m willing to give him the benefit of doubt for the time being. Mainly because I’m convinced that without him we would be staring a Harris administration right in the face.We already discusses that “salary” is as pointless of a question for him as “will he get free coffee or does he have to chip in at the office.” The max is could possibly be is $400k. This does concern me. The one part of Trump admin that I found interesting and he isn't doing it.
Well as a Federal employee who works my tail off, I'm concerned when he says stuff like fire half the workforce. Even if said in jest, if he is going to be in a leadership role, he needs to act like a leader. I would like to see them actually look at government efficiency and see where the fluff is. But just mass firing is going to do a lot of harm.Nothing funny about it. We know what the current administration has done and is or isn’t doing. She is at least 25 years too old for him.It would appear that Gaetz has bipartisan support.

The Left should welcome Matt Gaetz as attorney general
Donald Trump announced today that he will elevate Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., as his next attorney general, a post with sweeping powers over the Department of Justice.
