OSU vs #2 Hogs

The only time the game should have been over was when Forsythe took a 3-1 pitch that was clearly low and outside.
Benge's strikeout took away a chance for him to hit with 2 out and 2 on, but we can't say that he would have gotten a hit.

OSU did benefit from the strike zone as well, but none as egregious as the call to Forsythe. That guy is just not good enough to handle a college baseball game.

I think lost a bit in the game was how well Donovan LaSalle played. He had two of the six hits, drew a walk, and scored the winning run. At this time last year he was playing HS baseball in Louisiana. Quite a leap to a crowd of 16,000 in a major league venue.

On the other side, it was Meola (4), Brueggeman (5), Benge (3), and Forsythe (3) who accounted for almost 2/3 of the strikeouts. There's no excuse, but in retrospect, facing Arkansas pitchers with a normal strike zone is hard enough....facing them with a zone that is constantly on the move and sometimes 6 inches off the plate would be impossible. Still have to find a way to foul off more pitches and not take pitches with 2 strikes.
