3 game series in Austin

Battle of Top 10 teams starting tonight at 8 pm on ESPN2. Cowgirls are coming in losing 2 in a row. The bats have been flat. We are putting the ball in play….unfortunately it’s going straight to a defensive player. We only struck out 8 times in the past 4 games. Hopefully we get the bats going tonight.

Kelly Maxwell formed a blister or a cut on her finger while pitching vs Wichita St. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect her. The pitching has been pretty good along with our defense.

Superglue works wonders, we used to carry it in the med bag to ballgames. It must have been pretty rough, as much movement as she gets on the ball she has to of dealt with this before.

It was the final game of the ISU series that she started having problems with her finger. That's when she went to the dugout for some superglue. Looked like it was the inside of her index finger. Lots of torque going on with that ball spin.

Sometimes superglue works wonders and sometimes it don’t. It depends on the person. One pitcher that I coached when she used it, she couldn’t get the spin to get the movement like she could before.
