Who Should OSU Hire as Next Basketball Head Coach?

That is evident considering how many coaches have declined an interview with Chad.
Who? Who exactly has declined? No "inside sources, friends of the program, etc." Who exactly said "Chad, thanks but no thanks I don't even want to talk to you."
This is not my opinion. I am merely stating a fact that is obvious.
It's 100% opinion. This mentality and portion of our fanbase is exhausting. Not you personally, I don't know you at all. But this mindset permeates everything we are as a university. "Whoa is me, chiken little, aw shucks little ole okie state."
I cannot believe how far OSU has fallen.
Zero argument there.

Regarding my post I've quoted, Steve is no longer a strong candidate - but is a backup plan. Some boosters were not impressed by Steve.

And it appears that a coach will not be hired before April 15th; when portal opens. Possible candidates leave me bewildered. I hope Chad knows what he's doing. Thing is... OSU basketball is not a desirable program. That is evident considering how many coaches have declined an interview with Chad. This is not my opinion. I am merely stating a fact that is obvious. The next HC has one helluva difficult job ahead of him. And Chad isn't making it easier by waiting so long before hiring a new HC. I don't understand Chad's reasoning.
This cannot be a serious post, especially the "why hasn't the hire been made yet" part. You realize that the NCAA tournament just started yesterday, right? And that almost all of the people being talked about are in that tournament? And two of the top candidates only came free as of last night? We can't have been turned down for interviews, because we wouldn't have made any formal requests while those guys were still coaching. I thought that was blatantly obvious. I don't want someone who would pull a Brad Underwood on their current program, so the search for all intents and purposes is just beginning.

Because it obviously took extra time to offer the job to Alford & then revoke the offer.
That's Texas A&M type stuff there, and A&M type stuff takes extra time
obviously

I disagree. The Oklahoma State basketball program is a highly desirable job to people who know how hungry the fans are for a winner. Any program with a history of the highest success is capable of reaching it again. It will happen again in Stillwater with the right leadership.

Basketball requires a great coach and 5 8 (some depth is required :ROFLMAO:) guys, not 22. That is do-able for any coach with vision, motivation, and an ability to work with young folx. Let's find that guy.

Was the job offer rescinded? Or was your never wrong source wrong?

All these hot coaching candidates are either in the tourney or waiting to see how the cards fall for Louisville, Stanford, Washington and potentially Kentucky. My feeling is the quicker we name a coach the more disappointed the fans will be.

Calipari’s buyout is $34 million, but anything is possible from a blue blood like Kentucky.

Yes, that is a strike against him. I don't advocate going and hiring him right away but I think his body of work at least gets him an interview and puts him into consideration if he is interested.
I do like the idea that it took him a few years to figure it out now he's rolling. Sort of reminds me of Scott Drew. I don't know that Spradlin would be my first choice, but not a bad one if the top tiers don't pan out. I'd rather have him than Pitino.

Waiting until April 15 to hire a coach would be incredibly infuriating. Especially since we let HCMB go before April 1

To be fair to Scott Drew, he took over when baylor had one of the worst scandals and punishments ever. They werent allowed to even play nonconference games for a while.
