You claim to not like Trump, but never seem to agree to anything indicating he's ruining things and respond with a laugh to things that should cause very different reactions. Or is it the nervous laugh while thinking "we're effed"?

No, I was laughing because one of the regular outrage machine consumers posted “if you aren’t outraged you are complicit”. Even after you smartly asked why other media was not covering this.
Is there more to the story….don’t know. Probably best to wait and see instead of jumping to conclusions.

When I was in pharmacy school in the 80s the diagnostic criteria for diabetes was a fasting blood sugar of 200 or higher. Now the criteria is a fasting blood sugar of 126 or higher. Simply put, more people are going to meet the criteria with the lower number, the lower number is more sensitive. If you make the diagnostic criteria more sensitive then the prevalence increases because you diagnose more people.
This is what happened with ASD. All the Facebook posts “we didn’t have all this autism when I was in grade school” wasn’t because it didn’t exist, it was because we were unable to diagnose it. Our diagnostic criteria are much more sensitive in 2025 than they were in 1975 and thus the prevalence has increased. It’s not an epidemic, we are just better at diagnosing it and thus the prevalence has increased. If RFK Jr had a second year pharmacy or med student understanding of epidemiology he would know this. This isn’t a difficult concept.

I think this concept can be applied across a wide variety of things. We didn't used to have X, why do we now? Because technology can now identify X where existing tech at the time could not. It's quite sad that such a simple thing is seemingly so far above many people's realm of understanding.
It applies to lots of things. Back in my day we all played with fire and turned out ok. This generation is just soft.
No, Janice. YOU turned out ok but not everyone did. That's why we don't let kids do that anymore.

Just like what causes gender dysphoria in children needs to be better known and prevented, so does autism.
Government by Art Briles pass defense. They can't throw a flag for PI on every single pass so do it on every pass.
It literally won't matter, and that's by design. People on this board will defend it. Or say "we have to wait til all the facts come out", which they never will because the news will be on to the next insane thing. Or they will never see it.
Conservatives get their news from the same places (as you can see by the same exact talking points over and over): Facebook, Tik Tok, Fox, and Newsmax. None of those will ever show things like this. So when certain posters see it here, it's "fake news" and easy to shrug off.
Or they literally can't believe it because it would put their entire identity and world view in jeopardy
