Imagine, if you will, a world where these companies donated to things that actually matter. Like homelessness, food insecurity, veterans services, etc. effing etc.
I propose that every single dollar donated to a political campaign must be equaled in donations to charity.
That and I also thought it showed that both parties work for the same people.

I'd love to see that broken down by where the donations were made along with the party. My guess is they are largely split along party I'm control of where they operate as well as national party. It's just legal bribes to get what they want. Much cheaper to make donations than pay taxes or have to actually work for permits and contracts, follow environmental or other regulations etc.
