US continues to go backward...

No, I think Biden would have released it post haste if it had to do with Trump. The FBI lied about other stuff for Biden.

You haven't read what other people are saying. No one is gonna release everything because too many people who are politically affiliated with either side are involved. Yet I'm guessing EVERYONE not in power wants to see it. Interesting how that works. People squabble over issues all the time but one time when everyone is in agreement and the people in power (not just Trump-this could have happened before he was reelected) will keep it hidden.

Release everything and let it sort itself out.

I think Biden is covering for Clinton.

If there are two people in politics that are more likely than Clinton and Trump I'd like to hear them.

I was thinking about this with Presidents.

Trump-I'd bet folding money he doesn't want everything released.
Biden-doesn't seem like the type, but not 100% outside the realm of possibility.
Obama-didn't really become a major political figure until 2006 or so. Seems like too much of a boy scout
Bush-his party days were before Epstein and he doesn't strike me as someone who would do that. Plus he's a Bush so more skull and bones secret society stuff than Diddy Party.
Clinton-he wrote the forward for the diary

The administration lied?

Nothing to see here folks, just Jim Jordon treating the Entire Epstein file release and story as a giant Joke

Jim Jordan GOP House Judiciary Committee shares 'Unbelievable' Post about Epstein. Claims files are revealed and then adds link to Rick Roll Video

An X account overseen by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) faced backlash Thursday after it tried rickrolling those seeking the highly-anticipated (and subsequently disappointing) release of documents tied to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The House Judiciary GOP account, representing the majority of a committee chaired by Jordan, shared a post that claimed the “EPSTEIN FILES” were released alongside a shortened URL link that read “EpsteinFilesV2.”

The link — veiled to appear as if it was tied to files that President Donald Trump’s Justice Department began sharing to conservative influencers — instead redirected X users to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” music video, the focus of a meme that’s nearly old enough to vote in elections.

The post, which can be viewed here, has since been deleted.

X users, including right-wing accounts, slammed the committee over the post as others made nods to ex-Ohio State University wrestlers’ allegations that Jordan was aware of sexual abuse complaints against a team doctor when he was a coach at the school.

“Sorry. I’m confused. You’re telling me a committee headed by The Honorable Rep. Jim Jordan would try and muddy the waters about known sexual predators? pff. No way,” wrote Clifton Adcock, an investigative reporter at The Frontier.

Another user wrote, “An official government account headed by Jim Jordan is trolling in regards to child sex trafficking using a decades old meme. Where is the protect the children crowd?”

Wall Street Apes — an account that’s pushed misinformation, perAFP, and is followed by the likes of Elon Musk as well as Donald Trump Jr. — also blasted the “absolutely unbelievable” post from the House Judiciary GOP.

Christina Pushaw, rapid response director for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign, simply replied, “There’s still time to delete this.”

Tesla investors furious at stock’s plunge turn tables on CEO Elon Musk

  • Shareholders are using Musk’s own words against him, asking what five things he’s done for them in a reference to his DOGE team’s controversial email to federal employees. The stock dipped on Thursday for the sixth straight trading session.

Tesla shareholders want Elon Musk to get a taste of his own DOGE medicine.

Trump’s government efficiency czar sparked a backlash this past week when he demanded civil servants justify their paycheck by listing five things they accomplished in a week—a tactic he first used to thin the ranks at Twitter.

With Tesla shares down heavily since the start of this year, however, investors are now turning the tables on their CEO. They have taken to Musk’s own social media site X to ask what he’s done for them lately.

“Please share five things you did for Tesla shareholders this week,” celebrity photographer Jerry Avenaim posted on Wednesday, with a graph showing the poor performance of the stock. “Or are you working remotely? Asking for all of us.”

Shares on Thursday dipped for the sixth straight session, falling 1.4% as of press time to once again underperform the Nasdaq tech index.

Tesla did not respond to Fortune’s request for comment.

Musk’s missive to federal employees

The gibe stems from an ultimatum Musk sent this past Saturday: All federal employees were asked to explain what they accomplished last week. It ended with: “Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

While he was certainly entitled to do that at Twitter, a company he owns, it rubbed U.S. government employees and the public the wrong way. Musk cannot be ordered to appear before Congress since he has no official role, but that also means his only authority is what the president affords him.

Cabinet secretaries chafed at Musk’s intrusion and instructed employees not to answer, forcing the Tesla CEO to backpedal. First he said his expectations were very low (“The passing grade is literally just ‘Can you send an email with words that make any sense at all?’”) before then clarifying it merely sought to ensure basic bodily functions (“pulse and two working neurons”).

On Wednesday, Trump sought to mend fences by openly praising Musk’s efforts to shave $1 trillion off the government budget in front of his senior officials.

Model Y refresh celebrates launch in China

On the one hand, Tesla shareholders have little to complain about. Their stock is still 14% higher than on the day of Trump’s election, despite news emerging that its auto business is under severe pressure.

On the other hand, though, they can argue with some justification that Musk has contributed to all of that. Their CEO has comported himself poorly of late, even excluding his notorious salute at the inauguration. The market is also waking up to the risk that the first quarter at least will almost certainly disappoint.

Recently the family values champion ignored ex-partner Grimes’s plea for help with a sick child of theirs even as he paraded their son around to her discontent. Then, alt-right influencer Ashley St. Clair published text messages in which he allegedly told her to keep quiet about their baby. Finally, he sought the early destruction of the International Space Station after trading barbs with an astronaut and former ISS commander.

Shareholders can at least take some consolation that a refreshed version of the five-year-old Model Y finally celebrated its debut in China, according to a post on its official Weibo social media account. The vehicle accounts for two-thirds of all Teslas sold worldwide.

Thank GOD Elon came along so we could have a NASA....ohh and the first amateur rocket builders in American built and launched the first private built rocket in the US in 1982

Kevin McCarthy Claims America Didn’t Build Rockets Until Elon Musk Arrived: ‘He Should Be Given a Medal’

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy falsely credited South Africa-born billionaire Elon Musk with building the first rockets in the United States.

Musk, who spent $277 million to return President Donald Trump to the White House, has been laying off thousands of federal workers and cutting congressionally appropriated funding at various government agencies. Despite his prominent positions in the government, Musk’s companies have billions of dollars in contracts with the federal government. On Thursday, it was reported that Starlink – an internet provider and subsidiary of Musk’s SpaceX – was poised to swipe a $2.4 billion contract with the Federal Aviation Administration that had been taken from Verizon.

CNN legal analyst Elie Honig called the conflict of interest “a federal crime.”

Appearing on Thursday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, McCarthy and Laura Ingraham gushed over Musk’s spending cuts and the billionaire’s alleged genius in rocketry. The host noted that Democrats had been calling on an end to Musk’s contracts with the government given his role in the government. Over the years, Musk’s companies have received at least $38 billion from the government.

“Follow that logic,” Ingraham said.

“All that would do is help China,” McCarthy responded. “Before Elon Musk, we did not build a rocket engine in America. He went out and did it himself so we could go. We have astronauts stuck in space. We need Elon to go get them. We have a disaster in America. We need satellites. Starlink, that Elon has created. Elon creates something and helps the government in that process. He makes America stronger. And now they want to attack him because he’s actually– who is he looking out for? The hardworking taxpayer. That should be their job as elected official. And they won’t do it, and he is volunteering to do it? He should be given a medal.”

Rockets in the U.S. predate Musk’s arrival from South Africa, as well as Musk’s existence.

In 1958, the U.S. launched its first rocket into space, and with it the first scientific satellite, Explorer 1. Obviously, there have been scores of additional launches since then, including several missions to the moon – some of which predated Musk’s birth in 1971. Moreover, it is not clear what if any role Musk has when it comes designing the rockets at SpaceX.

US didn't build rockets until Elon came along?!?! WTF!?!

Guess someone else built the rockets for the space race in the 60s. Who did that, we should do more with them.

I'm guessing he's referring to the US use of Russian rockets for NASA to get people to/from the ISS. But we were still launching satellites during that time. Just didn't have a crew module after retirement of the space shuttle.

Robert Goddard made our first real rockets way before 1982. When officials asked German’s Braun where they got their start, he said Goddard.

itś a form of protest...feel free to ignore it and spend your money...they ARE encouraging to spend on local businesses...not sure if one day will do much, or how much participation...read they are planning a week long one later...
I remember in high school people planning these for gas purchases. Don't buy gas on this day so companies will lower prices (everyone was mad it had gone over $1/gallon). It did nothing.

Without long term (months) changes, nothing like this will impact a major company's bottom line so they won't care.

"Our goal is to unite Americans against the corruption and greed that has kept us struggling for decades," the organization says on its website.

He also says the movement is not about billionaire Elon Musk, who oversees the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Trump or any single individual, but rather focuses on "the system as a whole." The group has vowed to hold billionaires and elected officials accountable, adding that their focus is "systemic change, not political drama."

The group says there will be more boycotts "until corporations are held accountable, billionaires pay their fair share, and the working class finally gets the freedom we deserve."

I like "buy local" a lot better than this dumb crap.

How do you buy local without spending almost twice as much? There aren't many options around here other than specialty shops or farmers markets (who for some reason became stupid expensive at some point).
