So socialism for farmers. Got it.

Banks, the big 3 car manufacturers, and farmers. That group gets bailouts, the rest of us can find some boot straps to pull on.

They are just simply arresting LEGAL immigrants for being nothing more than an Immigrant

ICE admits detained New Jersey man arrested at his routine immigration status meeting, who has had a green card for 21 years, is married to a US citizen and has 2 US Citizen children has no criminal history.

Sen. Andy Kim says U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement admitted it is detaining a man with no criminal history at a facility in New Jersey.

Kim, said last week he made an unannounced visit to the ICE facility in Elizabeth, where officials told him Karim Daoud, a native of Egypt, did not commit a crime before his arrest in March.

"He has spent 21 years in the United States, married to a U.S. citizen, two U.S. citizen kids, and ICE themselves told me he has no criminal background, no criminal history," Kim said Sunday on CBS News New York's "The Point with Marcia Kramer."

New Jersey man remains at ICE detainment center

Daoud's wife, Jennifer Metz, told CBS News New York he was arrested during a regular meeting about his immigration status in March.

He came to the U.S. over 20 years ago on a visa from Egypt and has been trying to become a permanent U.S. resident since, she said.

"He is somebody that is on a pathway to try and get a green card, especially because of his wife. Why are they going after him?" Kim said. "Twenty-one years. I don't know all the details, there could be something there on that front, but again, they said it's nothing criminal in that way. He's not a violent criminal. He is somebody that's been, runs a restaurant in his community, beloved in his community in Hunterdon County."

Kim, who also criticized the Trump administration for the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, said he believes there is "wide agreement" that ICE should go after violent and dangerous criminals.

An ICE spokesperson previously told CBS News New York that Daoud was arrested "for violating U.S. immigration laws," and that he is "pending removal from the United States."

They did not specify what crimes he is accused of.

Trump administration dismisses all voting rights cases at the DOJ and fires all managers overseeing Voting Rights and Voter Discrimination cases

Appointees in President Donald Trump's administration at the Department of Justice have ordered the dismissal of all voting rights cases and removed managers of the division responsible for overseeing them.

Sources told The Guardian that all active cases in the voting rights section were expected to be dropped. The move comes less than a month after Harmeet Dhillon, a Trump ally, was appointed to lead the Civil Rights Division.

"In an unusual move, Dhillon sent out new 'mission statements' to the department’s sections that made it clear the civil rights division was shifting its focus from protecting the civil rights of marginalized people to supporting Trump’s priorities," the paper said.

Tamar Hagler, the chief of the voting section, was sidelined along with five other career managers. The unit was responsible for enforcing laws against voter discrimination.

The section's two remaining managers were either reassigned or retired, the report noted.

"Political appointees have also instructed career employees to dismiss all of their active cases without meeting with them and offering a rationale – a significant break with the department’s practices and norms," the Guardian added. "Taken together, the changes have raised significant alarm about what the future of voting rights enforcement will look like for the federal government at a moment when states continue to pass restrictive voting measures."

Republican Set Multiple Rules for His Town Hall. It Still Blew up.

The list required attendees to provide proof of residency in New York’s 17th district, prohibited “shouting, screaming, yelling or standing,” and encouraged them to “be respectful of one another, of staff, and of the congressman.”

But in the end, Lawler still faced tough criticism over his deference to President Donald Trump—often in the form of shouting and insults.

“What are you doing to stand in opposition to this administration? And what specifically are you doing that warrants the label ‘moderate?’” asked one constituent, a video on X showed, as the crowd of roughly 700 people erupted into cheers.

“My record speaks for itself—” Lawler began, sending the audience into raucous laughter and jeers. As Lawler continued to limply defend his supposedly moderate record—ProPublica has found that he voted in line with MAGA Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene 81 percent of the time—his constituents refused to quiet their anger.

“Folks, if you want me to answer the questions, let the question be asked, and then listen to the answer,” Lawler said. “If you’re just going to yell back and forth, the time is gonna run pretty quick.”

Lawler told his constituents who had expressed concern about Trump’s escalating trade war and “reciprocal tariff” policy that the president was simply responding to an “affordability crisis.”

“What caused record inflation? Five trillion dollars in new spending in the first two years of the Biden administration is what gave us record inflation,” Lawler said, drowned out by the sounds of booing from the crowd.
