CHECK ON YOUR LOCAL FOOD BANK!!!!!

I work with various community service organizations in my town. One who has been a tremendous partner to our own Non Profit is our Local Non Profit Foodbank.

Since COVID they have been helping between 250-550 FAMILIES per WEEK (~900 Individuals) with things like Food, diapers, formula, and emergency utility payments, rent assistance.

They were notified today they have lost their USDA money via DOGE cuts , USDA had funding to buy Produce, veggies, some meat, eggs , dairy etc etc etc from Local Farmers and they would receive the food the Farmers sold to the Govt. That has now been cut at a 100% rate and is gone.

They were also notified this week that META would Shut Down Their Facebook Page as Facebook is on a binge of Shutting down 100 Million Non Profit around the world which started back at the end of 2024 and is ongoing now......... Facebook themselves had a policy of covering the donation processing fess for Non Profits who were accepting donations via the "Donate Now" button on Facebook.

META changed that policy in May 2024 and said they would no longer cover those fees and would start shutting down any Facebook Accts with a Donate Now button as they would no longer allow that because they had to pay the processing fees.

Trump administration asks Supreme Court to allow birthright citizenship limits

The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow restrictions on birthright citizenship to partly take effect while legal fights play out.

In emergency applications filed at the high court on Thursday, the administration asked the justices to narrow court orders entered by district judges in Maryland, Massachusetts and Washington that blocked the order President Donald Trump signed shortly after beginning his second term. The order currently is blocked nationwide.

Three federal appeals courts have rejected the administration’s pleas, including one in Massachusetts on Tuesday.

The order would deny citizenship to those children of undocumented parents born in the U.S. after Feb. 19. It also forbids U.S. agencies from issuing any document or accepting any state document recognizing citizenship for such children.

Nearly two-dozen states had filed suit against the order, arguing that it violates the 14th Amendment's guarantee of U.S. citizenship to all person born within the United States.

The Justice Department argues that individual judges lack the power to give nationwide effect to their rulings.

Five conservative justices, a majority of the court, have raised concerns in the past about nationwide, or universal, injunctions.

JUST IN: Pres. Trump is expected to invoke the Alien Enemies Act — a wartime law that allows the president to detain or deport the citizens of an enemy nation — as part of the efforts to carry out mass deportations, according to two U.S. officials.

Trump: "To be honest with you, Canada only works as a state. We don't need anything they have. As a state it would be one of the great states. This would be the most incredible country visually. If you look at a map, they drew an artificial line right through it."

This is probably the interview that set Trump off on Truth Social this morning -- Wall Street Journal Editor in Chief Emma Tucker criticizing Trump's economic policies on Maria Bartiromo's show, saying executives are "floundering" because of them, and adding that prices will go up for consumers because of tariffs

Trump: "I invaded Los Angeles and we opened up the water and the water is now flowing down. They have so much water they don't know what to do ... we broke in to do it."

Jessica Tarlov: “If you look at the latest Quinnipiac poll, there’s over 50% disapproval of Trump himself, how he’s handling the economy, how he’s handling the federal workforce, how he’s handling Ukraine-Russia, how he’s handling trade with Mexico, how he’s handing trade with Canada. So basically he’s underwater on everything.”

Don’t we have to be at war first?

Newsmax's unified conspiracy theory to explain away Trump tanking the stock market: "This correction is overdue. Nothing to do with Trump. Nothing to do with tariffs … the markets were juiced up on this govt overspending ... the Democrats were sacrificing the foundation of our financial system just to prop up the markets and make it seem like we were doing better than we actually were."

The WSJ of all legacy media has been bringing the heat on the trade war. NYT's headlines are "Have you ever considered the positives of everything costing more?"1000001917.jpg

That water didn't go to LA, it was all wasted and now they'll probably have drought issues in the summer

There are apparently reports about a kill switch on the JSF for International orders allowing the Pentagon to degrade or shut off jets. Not sure if joint partners knew about it, but if so I'm sure they never considered it an issue since the US would be a dependable ally.

Now that Trump is an obvious Russian plant, countries in NATO are starting to back out of orders. I've seen reports about Germany, Portugal, and Canada so far canceling or otherwise removing it as an option in upgrade plans. There goes hundreds of billions to trillions of dollars that would come from foreign sales. Thanks Trump.

Fascistic authoritarians doesn’t give a crap about polls.

He’s got four years to accumulate as much power and money for himself and his fellow cronies as he can.

And so far, he apparently has enough cult members amongst the voters and complicit cowards in the other two branches of government to get it done.

I don’t think Trump is a Nazi. He’s not the next Hitler. He’s not following Hitler’s or Mussolini’s playbook.

He’s following the playbook of his pal Rodrigo Duterte of whom he has often spoken highly. The similarities between Duterte’s power accumulation tactics as a democratically elected unitary authoritarian executive and Trump’s actions in his second term are remarkably similar.

Yep. Duterte, Orban and Ergodan are his models.
