Trump 47

Hours after Pres. Trump publicly praised the judge who oversaw his classified documents case, lawyers with the Department of Justice urged the U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to ensure the final report into Trump's alleged conduct never becomes public.

Jay Carey, who served over 20 years in the U.S. Army, said he feels like the "days of being cordial and respectful are over" because "we’re not being respected."

I was at Homeland yesterday and the cheapest dozen of eggs was 6.79... Best Choice brand was even still 6.99!...

What's fun is when you see cage free for $4.99 and wonder why the eggs with a much higher cost of production are cheaper even though egg supply/demand doesn't care how chickens are raised.

It's almost as if somewhere along the supply chain consumers are getting screwed because bird flu is a convenient cover for price gouging

The price for a half dozen eggs was still $3.42 a few days ago at Walmart and none were available.

I bought a dozen large eggs for $3.97 at Reasors yesterday.

Lucky. The two places I go to in town (Hy Vee and Fairway) were both about $6.50 for regular large eggs in the last week or so.

I did do the cage free thing a few times but people caught on and last time I was at Hy Vee they were sold out. Fareway had them priced the same as normal eggs on Monday FWIW.

Don't go putting facts in front of them.

What, you think people are making up the price they see at the grocery store? If you don't believe what you see with your own eyes I don't know what to tell you.

If you see them anywhere near reasonable it's possible you have a store selling them as a loss leader trying to get more people in to buy other stuff. Honestly if I was a grocery store manager I'd think that was a great idea.
And obviously egg prices should drop over time. Just guessing you might see modest retail movement depending on supply/demand the next few weeks and after Easter you start to see prices normalize. Like many things, we may never see pre pandemic level pricing again. Why would grocers charge $1.99/dozen when people will now gladly pay $3.50 and think they are getting a deal? Not blaming Trump for that, just human nature and the sellers willingness to maximize profit.

I think people are using is as a "but Trump said" topic while ignoring the fact that prices are actually coming down.

BRENNAN: Can you substantiate any form of material support for terrorism specifically to Hamas from this Columbia student, or was it just that he was espousing a controversial political point of view?

RUBIO: We're gonna do more. When you apply to enter the US and you get a visa, you're a guest
