Something something, TDS, something something. The cognitive dissonance is insane this go around. Like, every single sane person can see what's going on.

They're either 100% ok with what's going on, or don't believe their own eyes and ears.

The playbook was given to us a long time ago. It's kind of bonkers that the media is completely quiet about project 2025 now.

Didn't vote for the guy. Really. Not one time. Not in any primary. Not on any Election night. But I'm an outsider here no doubt.

My outsiders take on his first two weeks is that its been predictable. He's pretty much doing what he told American he would do. Left is going mad. Nothing here is a surprise.

For me, we are not going to know what this is going to look like for another year or two. If you are losing your mind now, it's going to be lost by midterms.

Im a middle class straight white guy, so as a member of pretty much every protected class their is Im not really losing my mind. Im irritated but like you said he told us all what he was going to do and he's doing it. I am wondering where the people who don't really understand economics and think he would "fix" global recession are. Do they not care that he floated the idea of putting American citizens in foreign prisons? At what point does they think maybe they made a mistake here.

The people you want to admit the mistake are not seeking and/or receiving the same information/rhetoric you are. They are all out there thinking that this is pretty awesome.

Had lunch with a friend of mine that works for a federal government agency. He and his co-workers all received the same (or very similar) email you posted. However, he was very clear that is was a severance. And that he could take the package by Feb 6th and “either get another job and double dip or take multi-month vacation”.

So is it different for different government departments?
