Trump 47

Here is the actual tweet and reply. Not a doctored one.
Umm there is literally an actual yahoo article about the VP calling a reporter a Dummy

Nothing doctored

Umm the photo you posted has an entirely different tweet that was responded to putting what was said in a totally different context. It wasn't what Vance responded to. What I posted matches what the Yahoo article has. I didn't justify or promote what he said. Only said your doctored screenshot was inaccurate which it was. Dummy.

It’s definitely intentional by Musk.

He did essentially the same thing at Twitter. It’s his management style to disrupt, tear down, and rebuild to his liking. IMO, he’s clearly impulsive and chaotic and he can get away with it in his personal businesses because of his wealth and because he doesn’t particularly care about who gets hurt as long as he comes out on top. I think that is exactly what we continue to see with DOGE’s actions.

This popped into my head reading your post and thought it applied. Replace "investigatory journalist" with "being the richest man in the world".

Not saying JD is Zoolander.

Ok. I'm coming into this the following morning, but both posts exactly as shown are in the article. Why was one doctored?

It was late I was tired scrolled down to the first tweet in the article not all the way to the bottom. That was an expert level troll by Hasan to put that in a quote tweet and completely change the context of it.

The whole twitter thread and replies are there from each party for everyone to see. There wasn't anything doctored.

Break it and figure out what needed to be fixed is what you seem to be talking about here.
It's already broken. That's why we are 37T in debt.

We are that much in debt and the defense department loses wars, we aren't educating our kids on par with the world, we haven't made significant improvements in infrastructure, we are failing horribly in domestic disaster response, homelessness has increased, we don't take care of our vets, our govt sucks at what they are supposed to do and the price tag is so big it's not sustainable. But hey they can all agree to ban TikTok in a weekend right after they purchase Meta stock.

We cannot turn to the same folks who have been in office for 10-20-30 years and have done nothing but make it multiple times worse from a debt perspective and think all of a sudden because they don't like who is looking at the books they will be good stewards of our money. It's how they get rich on 194K in DC.....they aren't going to stop that. The impassioned cries from people like Warren are just stupid. She is the problem....not her alone but her and all her cronies on both sides (McConnel, Graham, Waters, Pelosi, Schumer et al) of the aisle as you have said. Just shut up you have sat there and exploited the system you created and now you care.......no you don't.

I wish someone other Trump would have actually done something like this because I don't trust him or Elon as far as I can throw them and any progress that could be made will be opposed simply for who they are.....among other valid reasons.

I've used the example before but take the dept of ed. To kill that sounds insane. But is it? They are horrible at their jobs....they are failing miserably. Educational progress stopped in 2012 and post covid we are currently on par with 1994. Now instead of yelling "Trump's crazy" or "libtards want to turn our kids trans" lets all frame that. Our kids are at 1994 levels......since then the internet happened. Our educators have been handed the most powerful tool to access information in human history and our kids have not improved. It's a step change on par with the printing press and we aren't any better for having it. Think about that. That would be like saying since the invention of the plane we can't get across the country faster. At the same time standards have been dropped to boost scores to the determent of students and things like accommodations for learning issues like dyslexia for example have advanced.....so we lowered the bar, expanded programs to help those with real issues reaching the even lower bar, and have access to essentially all educational materials we have ever produced at one's desk.....and are no better. We also have educator leaving the sector in large numbers. The people in that organization aren't going to fix any problems. They have proven they can't. And that's K-12 college is just as bad....the cost is exploding as the quality of product declines rapidly. It's all projects and ChatGPT now. Googled the average cost of a credit hour and it came back between $400-477....my first college credit hour cost $33. My son did zero of his own work and got an A's in a college program that feeds students into the Tex college system for medical careers. So yeah.....start again from zero before we go back further. But now we get back to Trump being the implementer in chief and he picks the wife of a wrestling exec that had to step down due to sexual assault. So yes.....I think it needs broken and rebuilt. I have little faith in the current breakers. That's one example. If the stuff about the number of folks on the SS admin roles is true those folks need to go.....they can't keep inventory they can't do the basics.

If a fraction of what has been claimed to be found is real it's a good thing. And it's been less than a month. So it was never hard it was intentionally not done.

The concept of a tech style review is great. Auditors from some firm ran by the spouse/kid/family of a govt official aren't going to get this done. I wish Musk, since that is who we are stuck with, would shut up for a month or so and get his ducks in a row. We do need to break some things and build them back but we don't have to do it in a weekend and we when we do we need a plan for the rebuild other that "it's going back to the states". Do your data scrapes....find the perceived waste....vet it.....present it. Then start axing this mess. Trump has a 63% approval of this process and its not clean or orderly or even accurate in some cases. This is needed and wanted for and by the people but lets put some order to it. Start with the spending.....get all that you can and use your employees as a resource to help while finding the ones you want to keep......form actual plans for the replacement product/personnel....find places to improve processes and present the plans.....give rationale behind why you can cut X thousand here or there. I want this review done and I want it done by an outside source but just cut the tweets and oval office grandstanding and do the real work. The message can be good and can help tremendously......the messenger could ruin it.

Judge orders hearing over Trump DOJ's bid to toss Eric Adams corruption case

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A federal judge on Tuesday ordered U.S. prosecutors to appear in court this week to address why they are seeking to dismiss criminal charges filed against New York Mayor Eric Adams.

The hearing comes after a Justice Department official appointed by Republican President Donald Trump ordered prosecutors to seek dismissal of the case. At least a half-dozen federal prosecutors resigned rather than obey the order, but other officials eventually formally sought dismissal on Friday.

U.S. District Judge Dale Ho, an appointee of former Democratic President Joe Biden, ordered the parties to appear at a hearing on Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST (1900 GMT) to discuss the matter.

Four deputies to Adams plan to resign in a withdrawal of support for the embattled Democratic mayor, who has warmed to Trump since being indicted last year on charges of taking bribes from Turkish officials. He has pleaded not guilty.

In ordering prosecutors to dismiss the case, acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove said the charges were distracting Adams from helping Trump crack down on illegal immigration, one of the administration's top priorities.

President Trump shares poll showing Byron Donalds cleaning up in run for FL governor

It’s not an explicit endorsement, but President Donald Trump shared a poll Monday showing Naples Congressman Byron Donalds the solid leader in a theoretical Florida governor’s race. Trump’s Truth Social post had more than 7,100 likes by 5 p.m.

Donalds hasn’t declared, but according to Victory Polling, with 31% of the hypothetical vote, he would trounce Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez (4%), Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson (3%) and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez (1%).

The poll was January 26-27 of 850 likely Republican primary voters throughout Florida and "was not commissioned by any candidate or committee," according to the report.

Donalds didn’t immediately return requests for comment but has reportedly told donors he’s “launching a bid” for the office.

If so, a Trump endorsement would be golden.

Lee County GOP chair Michael Thompson would expect no less. “President Trump supports Byron to the moon and back.”

Florida Gulf Coast University instructor Cindy Banyai, who twice ran against Donalds for U.S. Congressional District 19 isn’t convinced Donalds will find as much support as he’d like. “I’m not sure how well the people of Florida are going to receive him,” Banyai said. “He’s made a name for himself as a media personality (but) he hasn’t had a lot of tangible results for us here in Southwest Florida.”

Running for governor would not be “an unexpected move from Byron,” Banyai said, “Considering he did not get any of the cabinet positions … I guess his consolation prize is Trump supporting him for Florida’s governor.”

Southwest Florida GOP strategist Terry Miller said if the race were tomorrow, “Byron is hands-down the front-runner.” As for his relationship with the president, Donalds has long been a national Trump surrogate; Donalds sat next to Trump at the GOP convention (“not on the same section; not in the same row, but next to him") and the two shared a flight to the Daytona 500 last weekend. “So their relationship is pretty deep,” Miller said.

And yet.

“A lot can happen in 21 months,” when Florida’s gubernatorial primary takes place, Miller said.

“With politics, you just don’t know the unknown.”

So you're firmly in the Elon burning it down camp, but you just wish he'd stop gloating/tweeting about burning it down.

Got it.
