DOGE getting classified material by placing the people who are supposed to secure it on leave. DOGE is not a real agency. There is no congressional authority. So, we are at the point where a foreign born billionaire gets to access classified material in the first 13 days of the presidency because he wants to.

I suppose we just need to give it time. I mean, there is no way that non-governmental agencies using financial clout to get security chiefs of agencies removed is a bad thing, right?

If this was happening in some random Third World country, every single one of us would be saying, "well, that is basically a coup."
If George Soros did this, we would have another Jan 6th.

Since it is here and many people, obviously including those posting on this board, care more about their side rather than the country, somehow this is OK.

Are you saying the Treasury does not have authority to review the payments for which they are responsible? You realize the Secretary of the Treasury approved DOGE to have access to the documents. DOGE has no ability to add or stop payments, they are reviewing documents and spending processes. There is no congressional authority needed.

This is what I don’t understand from partisans. All Americans, regardless of ideology, should want transparency and better understanding of why we are in a $36T hole. The good news is the most of us do. However, it seems like extreme partisans just complain anytime there is any effort to curb spending and stop waste.

This is like if you asked a financial advisor to help you with your finances, but refused to provide any income or expense detail. Again, I understand your concern about Musk personally being in charge of DOGE, but if DOGE is truly going to help…this is information they need to complete the job.

Maybe, just maybe, think about how it has only been 13 days. I am sure there will be valid things to complain about, but making things up doesn’t serve a positive purpose and is just extreme partisan silliness

meanwhile, republicans: economy is bad, grocery prices are too high...save us tRump...it´s gonna take time (oh, that´s ok cuz you are so smart)...but at least we are getting rid of DEI (any hires that are not white males) and deporting illegals and creating a trade war, which will cause economy to go to $*&t again, but at least we don´t have to use pronouns anymore...btw, I am a christian (nationalist) where I believe in saving babies (yep, that´s all, just babies), and making life easier for all whites (well, not necessarily the women)...

I wonder if the reason they hate transgender people is because women transitioning to men mean less servants and more masters in their mind.

No classified material was accessed “without proper security clearances”.

Based on that information, care to edit your concern? So why again do you claim this is not legal?

Thats messed up. Employees were encouraged to take the training during his first term and suspended for doing that during his 2nd term.

Im not a "lets sue" person but at some point the courts need to get involved.

Also I wonder how Musk and Trumps employees in their private businesses are looking at this? If I'm a Tesla engineer I'm updating my resume
