I remember when people would get angry with politicians for telling even small, difficult to trace lies. Now, most of the things that our president says are obviously not even true. And, a little over half the population knew that and accepted that they will be flat out lied to all the time and as long as they think the outcome is in their favor, they simply do not care.

Sorry, but they better fully strip that jet to the frame and rebuild it if it's going to be used as AirForce 1. There's no way we should trust a foreign country to gift us a jet to be used as is for that position. Imagine the chances to put tracking, recording, etc equipment in it. The comms and security systems are why AF1 is so expensive and takes so long to purchase, there's no way this jet is a viable replacement

This x 100. No matter how friendly the Quatari government is with the Trump administration, its an absolute certainty they will have spycraft on it. Even if he waits until his term is over before he uses it, he will still have access to classified information. Obvious bribery aside, this seems like a terrorist idea.

Seems more like a rambling tirade than acting like a Russian asset. The comment about how Russia wouldn't have won WW2 without US intervention. I would love to see an interview on his thoughts on that (with Tucker Carlson doing the interview). I'm guessing it wouldn't make Russian state television.

They are not gifting us a plane. They are gifting the trump library a plane that we are going to sink millions in to so he can use it as Air Force 1 until the end of his term.

I completely understand that. I am WAY more concerned about the national security implications of using a jet from a foreign country as AirForce 1 than I am a gift (aka bribe).

I agree with you on all counts. I am just pointing out the words “gift us” is completely wrong. This is a bribe directly to Trump. Or an entity of his. And is going to cost 10s if not 100s of million to install communications in it just so he can use it as president for a couple of years.
