Trump 47

Still wrong. Doesn't change my mind that the act is politically motivated and that I'm OK with it being labeled as terrorism.
Vandalism is wrong, as is destruction of property. We agree there.

Calling it terrorism does not make it so and trumping up charges on those is going to have a public backlash. You already see it with Elon's 35% approval rating. Trump's is starting to decline too, and I think we are at the high water mark for both going forward.

Canadians, stung by Trump's tariffs and rhetoric, balk at US travel reuters

...
Seeing Canadian and American flags often flying side by side, travelers didn't care what side of the border they were on. Now, with Trump's recent rhetoric, Fram has had to adjust his message.
"We've been very careful not to broadcast and demonstrate U.S. assets to Canadian audiences and Canadian assets to U.S. audiences because when we have, we found that has drawn out a lot of negative sentiment," Fram said.
Canadians have been stung by Trump's actions and words since he returned to the White House, both around tariffs and suggestions that Canada should be annexed by the United States.
...
The American anthem has been booed at hockey games and some stores are removing U.S. products from their shelves, even before Trump's latest salvo on Tuesday, when he increased tariffs on imported Canadian steel and aluminum to 50%.
Travelers are responding with their wallets. New bookings to the United States from Canada have declined about 20% since February 1 compared with the year-ago period, according to Forward Keys, a flight ticketing data firm.
...
"We've lost a lot of interest in going to the States in general," said Allyson C., 34, from Vancouver, who canceled her family's summer vacation to Washington, D.C., citing the on-again, off-again tariffs and the U.S. exchange rate.

One thing I might add: Calling it domestic terrorism is supposed to chill freedom of expression and intimidate people who are voting with their feet or protesting. Its authoritarian in nature and thouroughly unamerican.

remember: if you can afford to buy a brand new tesla with cash/check, you are not worried about grocery prices...tRump and his billionaire minions have no grasp on the reality of life of the average American...

White nationalist Nick Fuentes says that Trump is a "populist demagogue" who is just "stirring up the rubes" to empower himself: "As much as I hate to admit it, liberals were right fundamentally about Trump."

Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia University graduate student arrested by the Trump administration, has still not been charged with a crime and has not been allowed to hold a private conversation with a lawyer. This is where we are now, America.

Authors of project 2025...they will turn against Jewish people

The Heritage Foundation is proposing that the U.S. wind down military aid to Israel as part of a strategy to “re-orient its relationship” with the country over the next two decades, a notable stance for the prominent conservative think tank given the long and deep support for Israel among conservatives and Republicans.

He is a US CITIZEN

He is not a citizen, he is a legal resident.

But the bill of rights applies to residents and even tourists also.

I posted earlier I don’t agree with arresting someone like this….but when did he become a US citizen? I do not think that is at all correct.

His wife is a U.S. Citizen.

NEW: “The President Wanted It and I Did It”: Recording Reveals Head of Social Security’s Thoughts on DOGE and Trump

In a recording obtained by ProPublica, acting Social Security Commissioner Leland Dudek portrayed his agency as facing peril, while also encouraging patience with “the DOGE kids.”
“Are we going to break something?” Dudek asked at one point, referring to what DOGE has been doing with Social Security data. “I don’t know.”

" “I don’t want the system to collapse,” Dudek said in a closed-door meeting last week, according to a recording obtained by ProPublica. He also said that it “would be catastrophic for the people in our country” if DOGE were to make changes at his agency that were as sweeping as those at USAID, the Treasury Department and elsewhere."

“So we published, for the record, what was actually the numbers there on our website. This is dealing with — have you ever worked with someone who’s manic-depressive?”

Thoughts and prayers to Dudek. R.I.P., in fact. He'll be the latest Trump "former appointee" in the near future.

All one has to do is look at Musk's tweet timing to know he is manic. The guy does not sleep more than 1 to 3 hours continuously.
