Trump 47

Democrats want to force Pres. Trump's administration to rehire veterans who were laid off as part of large-scale efforts by Trump and Elon Musk to reshape the federal government and its workforce, according to information exclusive to @ABCNews.

Sens. Tammy Duckworth of Illinois and Andy Kim of New Jersey plan to introduce the Protect Veteran Jobs Act in the Senate on Monday.

What are the odds that a worst case DOGE scenario plays out? And I think the worst case is that Musk is in fact a Bond villain working for Putin uploading a virus onto US government systems to be activated at Putin's command.

Anyway...

Edit: This was just a thought. Only thing I've read about it would be that DOGE's actions could mistakenly open up federal systems to malware.

It is possible, but not probable. Elon is serving himself primarily--although his eccentricity is very Bond villian like.

BTW Tesla shares are down over 8% today.

I think Elon has nefarious motives for sure. But I think they are his own. The dude has more money than a LOT of entire countries, why does he need to be beholden to anybody? He has delusions of grandeur. IMO, he sees himself as a "savior of the human race", so all of his actions are justified in his head.

Also, I think he's bored and is playing around with humanity however he sees fit. He can have anything he wants, and nobody (so far) has told him "no".

What would you do with that kind of power?
