Trump 2024 Run Thread

The Newsweek headline insinuated that he is incompetent because he was slurring his words and it’s just stupid and lazy. Even more so when you consider that his opponent hasn’t completed a coherent sentence in three years and his handlers crap their pants every time he steps in front of a microphone. I seem to remember you taking great offense when non-medical posters insinuated that Biden wasn’t mentally competent and perhaps had dementia. And BTW, we are getting two candidates forced upon us. Do you seriously think that the MAGA crowd is going change their vote because Trump slurred a couple of words according to Newsweek?
This is just the media trying to find something that sticks. All of these articles are about Trump “slurring“ speech. Three directly link the Biden Administration for spotlighting the slurs.

Huh? The headline was "Donald Trump Slurring Words at Rally Raises Questions."

I mean, that is a pretty factual statement isn't it? You don't have to be a neurologist to think that someone slurring words during a public address raises concerns. How did you turn that into "incompetent."

You are mis-remembering what my concerns were about what people were saying about Biden.

Trump is being primaried. The republican voter has a chance to make a better choice. I suppose you could say that the money is forcing him upon us, but it isn't quite like Biden where they have stopped any competition.

And this is the media trying to find something that sticks on Biden rambling and slurring. Strange these journalists trying to dig stuff up. Almost like writing articles telling us about politicians is what they are paid to do. Damn media!

So we shouldn’t talk about it?

Despite talking about it ad naseum when it comes to Biden.

Do you seriously think that the Biden crowd is going to change their vote based upon the Biden talk?

This election very well could be decided by moderates and independents and both candidates’ mental acuity is a completely newsworthy topic.

Well, I was wrong that there is no other democratic choice.
It is a shame that this guy isn't getting much attention. Honestly, he just looks like your typical wealthy democrat.
But, that is a big improvement.
Just now hearing of him and just watched an interview with him on Fox. Extremely likable, has good ideas, is running down the middle (smart), and seems to have some common sense:

quote:

Rep. Dean Phillips on meeting MAGA for the first time.

“I gotta tell you guys, I went to a Donald Trump rally a couple of nights ago. I’ve never been to one. I had an event across the street. I saw the line of people waiting in the cold for hours.”

“And I thought what the heck. I’m going to be a leader who actually invited people, doesn’t condemn them.”

“Met probably 50 Trump people waiting in line. Every single one of them: thoughtful, hospitable, friendly. Al of them so frustrated that they feel nobody is listening to them, except Donald Trump.”

“A diverse crowd, people that have never been to a Trump event before.”

“My party is completely delusional!”

My prediction would be that if his campaign begins to pick up some steam the Dems will get rid of him with the quickness.

True. At a national party level, any sort of unity and inclusion is a bad thing. Deplorables, libtards….We’ve got to stop them! Send us more money….yada, yada yada.

Ain't it grand when "shining city upon the hill" that is America gets to choose between two candidates where this is very valid discussion.

USA USA USA!!!!
You know what else?

If Trump wins, then we will have 2 lame duck presidents at the same time.
