The man has had enough:Wow, Kleiman retired & Klein takes over in the midst of a CFP run at A&M.
System is so incredibly broken.
KU guy I work with who’s kids are at KSU says the expectations surrounding Avery Johnson have been crazy and that there’s been a lot of heat on Klieman. The man has had enough:
"I've given my friggin' ... life for this place for seven years. I've given everything for seven years. And I think I deserve a little bit of respect. I'm frustrated like everybody else is, but I love those kids. And I'll go to friggin' battle with those kids any day."

Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman announced his retirement on Wednesday. The post could potentially be filled by the team's former star QB Collin Klein, who is the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M.www.espn.com

Don't think so. He is under contract for $5 million+ a year for several years. He could have forced a buyout of some kind, as many coaches do.Sounds like a guy who was forced out.
He broke down in a postgame a couple of weeks ago, & his AD is 68 & has been shopping for houses in Arizona. Supposedly there was dissatisfaction with Klieman and panic that they would miss out on Klein.Sounds like a guy who was forced out.
