I’d definitely be happy with Golesh or Zac. Klein I’m still mixed on but probably could be convinced. He’s got a great offense but also elite talent to work with. Henjy though would probably be a perfect fit for Klein’s offense. If Carson is right and Knowles is the DC with any of these guys excitement will be through the roof.
We’ll probably have a lot of competition for Golesh. Obviously Arkansas, where his wife is from NW Arkansas and supposedly a fan and family is all there. Heard a clip yesterday where the radio host Bobby Bones, who’s an Arkansas guy, was interviewing Golesh really trying to
recruit him. I also think jobs like Florida are probably going to miss on their #1 or #2 so he may turn into their guy real quick.
It’s funny how quick things change though in coaching and the hot candidates. Back last Dec, if you’d mentioned Golesh almost no one would have been on board with a 6-6 AAC coach. Just a few weeks ago Kinne was at the top of most lists and has completely fallen off. Last Dec when Zac was mentioned I remember a bunch of people saying no way he’d come, he’s on a fast track to an NFL HC job as the next young offensive guru. Now, because of the falcons start, you hear a lot questions around him like, hasn’t been a head coach, lack of college/recruiting experience, etc.

That’s interesting. I think Morris would be a good fit, especially with recruiting ties in Texas already established and also a great track record with QB’s. IMO, he’s at the least worth interviewing.

N Texas has a bye this week so I’d think he’ll be interviewed this week.
His freshman QB Mestemaker would come with him, I’d assume.
Getting the coach and the QB is very much in vogue these days.
His stud true freshman running back is from Shawnee. Hopefully he is also part of the desl.

Is it happening a lot? I know Mateer followed his OC to ou but his HC went to Wake. He probably would’ve ended up at ou anyway since he grew up and his family lives just a couple hours south and he was a fan. I know Pavia followed his OC from N Mexico a few years ago, and Sheduer followed his Dad of course. Not saying it’s not happening, just couldn’t think of others.
Regardless of what happens with Morris, the N Texas kid is going to be highly sought after by some big name P4 teams, with probably some big time SEC/B10 $$$. A 6-4 freshman who will have over 3000 yards and 25+ TDs. Unless they are just tied at the hip, I don’t think it’s a given he’ll follow Morris.
Yep. I know a local QC that got a D1 offer last year, and moved when their HC left for a bigger job. Seems to be a common thing if they have strong ties with the HC or his system.
