I thought this was interesting. The OSU Rivals account tweeted that Stitt is interested in replacing Shrum.
Maybe she could clean up some of the idiots on our BOR.
Stitt seems like a chaotic dude.
Companies like his were part of the financial crisis of 2008. Selling mortgages with high high default percentages. He’s basically a money counterfeiter. Seems like an odd choice to be let near our endowment.
We can do better. There’s no reason to legitimize a shady businessman.
He hasn’t shown a passion for public education in his current position.
He’s also never publicly stated he hates the Sooners. Which is extremely telling.

If it was a choice between her or Gundy…we kept the wrong one.
He loves the Pokes, has outstanding connections and has proven to be an aggressive businessman.
I don't really like him either but we may need some ruthlessness in the next few years. We can get a nice president after that.
Am I naive to believe that is the ADs job rather than the president?
5 years ago, maybe. In a perfect world, you're absolutely right. But we're fighting for survival.

You’ve got to have organizational alignment from top down today. The athletic department doesn’t just exist in a vacuum anymore.
Probably a really good idea to let this play out before forming too many more opinions and stating them as fact.

It's unusual for a university president or chancellor to resign effective immediately. Normally it's announced far in advance so the University can have a smooth transition after a national search.
After some more research, I retract my initial sentiment that Stitt might be ok. Apparently he and some of our problems on the BOR are tight.
Why go hunting though?
