Players quit trying

I've been watching OSU football for a long time. I've never seen an OSU team quit before.

It was obvious that some players quit before this game. They are on the field but going through the motions. While some other players are still going@ 110% - The dynamic is interesting. I watched the players as they walked off the field. I was close enough to see their facial expressions (some of you can probably figure out who I am based on that). Some players were absolutely crushed by this loss and gave it 110% in the game. But others, you could tell, could not care less. We saw that on the sideline, we saw it on the field.

There is no leadership on the sideline - No coaching leadership and no player leadership.

I'm expecting a huge turnover this season - a mass exodus of players and coaching staff. I'm hoping for that in some ways.

If I were the coaches - I would figure out who is in and who's out and change the depth chart.

It's a repeat of 2022. Play in the Conference champ game followed by a drubbing for at lesst half the next season. I would argue players quit in '22 as well.

We need to bench a bunch of players and give playing and practice time to younger guys or guys that at least show effort every play. Let guys coast during a game just shows it's acceptable.

Maybe that's what Gundy was talking about with the honestly looking at the tape and coming to talk to him. Maybe he's expecting guys to opt out of the last 4 games.
