The glaring absence on this team is a Brendan McCurry quality closer. So many games starting with the first game with Clemson and then this last game with DBU where we have a lead and all we need to do is protect it for an inning. With McCurry, if you got to the eighth inning with a one run lead, it was pretty much ball game over. We don’t have anyone like that who can automatically shut other teams down for an inning or two as a closer . Hence, we can’t protect leads!

Or Ure hitting 100+ from the left-hand side. There’s gotta be a way to use both guys in a different capacity than how we’re using both now.
