Wichita State at OSU

Conover leads off with a double into the gap
After Daugherty walks, Conover scored on safety squeeze from Culbertson and everybody's safe

After a sac bunt, Smith goes down swinging, geez.

Schubart rolls out and the Pokes settle for one

7-3

Nothing is easy with this team. Still way more questions than answers with the pitching staff

B8
Smith with a leadoff double
Schubart fails to move him with a pop up, but an error by the catcher does get him to 3rd
Ritchie walks
Jones shallow fly out to LF, runners stay
--double steal successful, run scores
Brueggeman walks
Conover flies out

Pokes again fail miserably to execute, but get a run with some help

9-5

Youngerman closes it out and the Pokes win 9-5

Positives:

We won
Had some big hits

Negatives:

Way too many walks
Didn't execute once with a runner at 3rd and less than 2 outs

How did Schubart do at 1st? We've been clamoring for that for a while now...

Just fine at first. His homerun left the atmosphere and is now orbiting earth.
The commentators were saying that Holiday has had 22 different lineups/batting orders so far. Anybody's guess about pitching.

What's the thoughts on Coach T. Holliday commentary during the game regarding the pitching? I agree with most of his assessments of the pitching situations on the whys, hows and should throw this here and not do that...seems like his comments questions Walton's pitch calling. Curious on y'all's perspective.

Tom Holliday having an opinion? Surely you jest.
