Winthrop at OSU

To me the biggest concern is lack of leadership on the team. Nobody getting everyone fired up or even really acting like they care about the outcome of the game.

Didn’t show up today…outside of Matthew brown, none of the pitchers came to compete. You have some older pitchers like Ure, Allman, and even Kennedy but instead we throwing Wech in the deep end and he’s struggling to stay afloat. Same with Lund.

They’re going to be really good down the line but right now they’re just not there yet and that’s okay. Doesn’t mean you have to force them to grow up right now. Rather see more of Matt brown. At least he’s throwing strikes in his outings

There's some new guys in our lineup that I have to wonder what they did to earn their spot? Maybe a good fall? Maybe there's no one else? Injuries? We're 40-50 at bats in, so there's some data to be looked at now.

Winthrops first win over a ranked opponent since 2011
Serious question……do Teams that are serious threats to host regionals and end up in Omaha lose to teams like Winthrop at home. The scary part is they came very close to sweeping us! This just feels like every year we’ve had since the 2016 trip. Seems like an investment like O’Brate should produce more wins and more post season success than what we’ve had which is basically none!
