Oregon vs Oklahoma State Football - Anyone coming to Eugene?

Well if some of you are coming I'm more than willing to share info to make your visit more pleasant.... that is up until game time, then it's game on.

For the golfers, a side trip to Bandon Dunes might make the trip worth while.
I'm coming. I'm going to Bandon for 2 days, then Eugene for the game. Would love any advice on tickets, tailgating, and restaurants.

Can't help with tickets, probably get them through Oklahoma St. As for tailgating, if Oklahoma State doesn't have a "tailgate venue" then I'd recomment going to the Mo (Moshofsky Center) or PK Park. The Mo is the indoor practice facility and it's converted into a sport bar on game day, it's on the West end of Autzen. On the East end PK Park (U of O baseball stadium) serves as an outdoor beer garden and great place to hang. Note: one of the unique features of Autzen is that it runs East West, most football stadiums run North South.

As for restaurants, do you have anything specific? I like Krob Krua for Thai, Tacovore for a interesting less expensive take on mexican food, Bar Perlieu if you want good food in a casual environment (food is good, prices match). Also, The Gordon Tavern, Marche, and Rye are local favorites.

Saturday is also, Saturday Market and Lane County Farmers Market, they are next to each other downtown. You can find good food, music and typical hand craft stuff.

Two things, take time to check out the U of O athletic facilities, see my profile for a pic of the track and field venue, Hayward Field. Second, check out Oregon Pinot Noir, several good wineries in the area, plus Broadway Wine will be able to head you to a nice wine to meet your taste.

As a golfer, you might check out Fidler's Green, it's probably the largest golf shop in the Pacific NW, plus good prices.wo

We are also very familiar with a stadium that runs east/west.

Who's the Ducks QB this year?

Is the season's expectation back to the playoff?
Dante Moore is the current number one QB, originally committed to Oregon, then switched and went to UCLA. Portal transfer to Oregon before last year. Started for UCLA as a freshman, was a bit sporatic, still he was a five star recruit. With a year as a back up and some experience at UCLA he should be good to go. He's a better athlete and probably more talented physically than Nix or Gabriel. Of course, I'm a big fan of his backup Novostad out of Texas, he's been in the program for a couple years and he reminds me a bit of Justin Herbert.

I'm not too worried about the QB situation. We've got a lot of new starters on defense and the offensive line is rebuilding. Still plenty of talent at ever level on the depth chart. Plus, I love Lanning and the staff.

As for being back to the playoffs, I don't see why not. Of course we've got some tough road games at Iowa, Penn St and Washington (rivalry game). Win those three and take care of business at home and we should be in the playoffs.

GoDucks349, my family is in Springfield here, and we thank you for the Krob Krua recommendation. We never looked at Thai food outside of Ta Ra Rin. Golfers on a money and time budget go to Tokatee Golf Club. It's literally in the Cascades and it's less than an hour from Eugene. Also, I was under the impression Bandon is always booked up and not available, but don't quote me on that. For the sweet tooth hit the Salt & Straw Ice Cream. The new summer flavors are a can't miss. Also, anyone considering, a 2025 Eugene trip will probably not measure up to 2019 Corvallis. Eugene is a naturally beautiful city but with some big city problems. Eugene lacks that charming college town atmosphere Corvallis has. I'll be on the couch for this one.

I agree with you about Tokatee, I was mostly focused on Bandon as a "bucket list" course for golfers. I like Emerald Valley for a local course, but Tokatee is in a truely beautiful location. Good recommendation on Salt and Straw. Sweet Life Patisserie should be added for pastries and Hideaway Bakery should be added. It's just that Oregon has so much when it comes to beautiful places it's just difficult to share them all.

Liked because I find it refreshing someone has three friends...
