Oklahoma is going backwards

It highly doubtful Oklahoma will vote on raising the minimum wage in November, since Stitt will likely sign the bill that expands the protest period for petitions from 10 to 90 days.

On channel 4 news Gov. Stitt sounds like he is thinking about vetoing stopping the funding of Walter's self-promotion because it isn't fair. It doesn't cover all state agencies.

Ummm..... this guy who came out of nowhere? Texan seeking Rep. Cole's seat leasing condo owned by Russian singer tied to Putin, records show https://www.oklahoman.com/story/new...-by-russian-pop-stars-ties-putin/73784738007/

Well they do pay most of the taxes so they should get the benefits.

Did I do that right?
Every struggling hard working middle class or lower Oklahomans are now paying taxes to the State of Oklahoma to send the children of rich Oklahomans to private school. Many of the non-rich aren't close to a suitable private school to start with. Of course, some would say that’s just the Republican agenda - defund public schools and fund private schools, including religious schools. Walters would certainly agree with that. He suggested that the state school budget needed cutting by $4.2 million. I guess he thinks inflation has been irrelevant. He also refused a million in federal funds for natural disaster that affected some schools. Walters, himself, is a natural disaster. Hopefully, the Oklahoma County District Attorney or whoever can do it will order a grand jury investigation to determine if Walters has been violating state laws. Some of it is over his refusal to release simple requests for information over employment status of some of his employees.

Why are we subsidizing private faith-based schooling when too many of our public schools are in shambles? Or are faith-based schools in bad shape, too, with teachers there paid even less?

Oklahoma is on the verge of passing a law allowing students to skip school to take religious classes.

Satanists tell me they have their own course ready to launch.

They are losing their grasp on the masses and they know it. There are too many outlets for knowledge, recreation, and socialization outside of churches now so they can't compete in people's free time. So, what better way to try to pull them back in than to let them skip the classes they don't like in school and go hang out with some youth pastor who will likely give them candy, be extra nice, and not force them to do very much? As long as they don't get fondled, it is a win/win! Well, other than harming our already dismal education.

Let’s be honest they don’t really care if the get fondled either. It can happen and if they find out they’ll just move the priest/Pastor to a different location.

Sounds just like another law suit to lose as unconstitutional that we will pay millions in wasted tax dollars for.

Don't forget getting political in ways that go against what most non-religious believe is best for people... and getting really angry at people for being who they are when it diesnt impact anyone else... and not allowing women to be in positions of authority in the church...

Its all really helpful to bringing/keeping people in organized religion.

STATE SUPERINTENDENT SERVED 2 SUBPOENAS, REQUEST FOR AG INVESTIGATION
Walters and McBride haven't seen eye-to-eye, and now with subpoenas in the mix, the tension between them has grown. McBride served Walters with two subpoenas and a request for an attorney general investigation.

Walters has endorsed Bondar for Congress. It's quite a reflection of how one of the controversial workers that Walters hired doesn't even live in Oklahoma, rather he lives in Texas. It seems he works remote from Texas with possibly a six figure pay.

Tom Cole is quite a formidable incumbent. I hope he easily wins against Bondar and to a surprisingly high margin that greatly disappoints Walters. Bondar agrees with Walters that the Dept. of Education should be abolished.

It's probably a good sign when Oklahoma Republican MAGAs have to resort to going out of state to find their candidate.
