Avery Hjelmstad is also in the portal. Ed Memorial kiddo I believe. We were in her top 3-5 final teams and she chose Utah. They had a coaching change now she’s in the portal. Would be nice to get a home grown kid back in Orange and black! Anyone know her/family?

I taught her/coached her in middle school. Track not basketball though. Great kid, hard worker. Would love to have her as a Cowgirl. I was bummed she didn't end up here the first time around.

Last year it felt like coaches globetrotted. A lot of money spent on flights, passports etc to not bring one of those players back for next year. I wouldn’t want much part of the American product of pay to play basketball so maybe overseas approach is best?

It’s unfortunate that some colleges are fielding essentially European professional teams these days.
