Offseason/portal

This is the unfortunate state of college athletics these days. Can’t build anything because the second you start having any sort of success the vultures start to circle and the devils start whispering in ears.
I don’t know about vultures, but the current system, or should I say the current chaos, incentivizes college players to perform well and then go elsewhere to make a lot of money. Would any of us turn down the opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars playing a game we enjoy?

Ain’t no way our players are making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Maybe 3 to 5000 a month.

You’re going to get outbid in America. I think all second tier teams like us have to look at international options. $50,000 to an international player means a lot more to themthan a bunch of these spoiled American players.

Need someone that can build a program. Hoyt's not going to be able to do that, it seems. Mass transfers each year without having coaching changes. Is it the new 'coach' with a DV in his past? Is it too much religion? Is it player favouritism? Something else? It's definitely not just money.

This is just college athletics these days. Unless you are one of the blue bloods that has money flowing players are always going to look for more money

They act all year like it's a big fun party. There may be some other things but I still think money is at the forefront.

Why would so many players also come if it was so bad?

They're just using it for a spring board
