This team isn’t built for a tournament setting right now. Good in duals, not so good in tournament setting

Could you explain what you mean? I hear that a lot in wrestling, but I don't quite understand it. Seems to me, either you win or you don't. Just curious!

Duels are more relaxed..championship aren’t on the line..pressure is on when championships are on the line. Individuals are competing for championships and some folks thrive in that setting. Some rise when they’re in an elimination setting..others don’t. Most of guys don’t right now but that can change with time. Duals you’re competing for the team…tournament you’re competing for yourself and at the same time helping your team

It’s way more than that. Penn State is pinning their way through the entire tournament and the ones we do manage to win, we’re getting regular decisions or maybe a major here and there. The good teams pile up huge bonus points and we’re not good at that.

Yeah. The only talent like that we have gotten in 20 years made the team worse because he’s a lunatic that will try to fight the wrong guy and end up passing away from his injuries or straight up get his head blown off.

Surber is pretty banged up, needs two surgeries at end of season and just trying to gut it out for the team.
