Musks Optimus Robots

We may all play golf with robot caddies that can track you ball so you never lose it and kick it out of the trees when no one is looking.

So let's hope for golf.

JFC, I just finished my 142nd round of golf for this year. It's gonna be tough for me to fit more in - but I'm willing to give it a go.

Salesforce CEO says this is first year his company will hire zero software engineers....and they have no plans to in the future....that it will written and maintained by AI.

Kinda throws the someone has to work on it out the window from jump.

@Bowers3 we need to get our clubs ready for the robot caddies all the decision makers are starting the "it will enhance human productivity" stuff which is code for "we just need a few years to get the people out".

That squashes my thinking that jobs based around AI will be safe.

I wonder what "safe" industries there will be in the future? I've always thought it would be a good idea to encourage the kids to get an education in finance/banking as people will always need something to do with their money but that doesn't seem nearly as safe a career path as it did 5 years ago.

I understand I am chicken little and my sky is frequently falling......

But the answer is none it's just a function of time.

Until they decide to replace juries with AI finders of fact at trial, I think I'm pretty safe.

Plus, I don't have that long until I'm ready to ride off into the sunset and make my AI butler do everything for me.

Yep.....Human interaction will last in some cases forever. People in jury boxes will be human and have humans like you trying cases and humans that can craft things like if it doesn't fit you must acquit defending them......wills, contracts, divorces, trusts, corporate related tasks could be all AI. Art...things with emotion will always have a human touch whether it be dance, food, film, music, comedy. Teaching, pilots have probably a generation......physical/mental therapists have a decent runway. Complex physical jobs where few things are repeated have a while.

There is always going to be a human somewhere......but it may be 20% or less than it takes now

Agreed. That's why I was very specific in my statement and didn't extend it to all legal work.

Some transactional legal work like contracts/trusts/foreclosures, etc. already have AI involved in the drafting and decision making process which goes to the Attorney to review and sign.
