AAA’s most recent state‑by‑state averages, the following states are reporting regular gasoline prices above $4 per gallon as of March 19th 2026
First time since Russia Invaded Ukraine in Feb 2022 we've had this many states over $4 on avg per gallon and oil never cracked the $114 mark at that point.
Oil has been as high as $120 per BBL today
- California – $5.61
- Washington – $5.14
- Hawaii – $5.07
- Nevada – $4.66
- Oregon – $4.70
- Arizona – $4.43
- Alaska – $4.42
- Illinois – 4.04

What was at $120? WTI is $95 and Brent is $102 right now. There are a bunch of international markets that I would guess are there (or higher) but no idea on those.

US Apache helicopters attack Iranian militias in Iraq, chairman of Joint Chiefs says
T he war against Iran has spread to neighboring Iraq, where a top U.S. general says American Apache attack helicopters are battling Iranian proxies.“In Iraq, AH-64s [Apache helicopters] have been striking against Iranian-aligned militia groups to make sure that we suppress any threat in Iraq against us, forces or U.S. interests,” Air Force Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters on Thursday.
Speaking at a Pentagon news conference, Caine did not elaborate on how many combat missions Apache helicopters have flown in Iraq since U.S. operations against Iran on Feb. 28.
