Sure it likely will happen…and if someone is taking bad ABs, you play her! Hard to predict when Ruby is going to give up a few runs in a game. Doesn’t happen often. I think you can get away with starting downing and Crandall against a 4 seed mid major. At least I would think. I just know Kenny won’t bench those seniors so it’s a moot point!! Hoffman role is carved as a pinch hitter. If this was patty Gasso coaching, she’d be in the lineup. Can the bats get cold, sure…but they’ve consistently solid especially this last 20+ games

exactly. We have basically one successful performance (Baylor) by these two in the last two months

Maybe. Who would you start? Crandall has won regional games before, but its clear she is no longer that pitcher.

To me, you're placing the whole hopes of the postseason on them to do a decent job. If we lose our first game, it's over. But, if they get the job done, then its a huge plus for Ruby.
