Definitely needs a day off.

I have no problem calling myself out when I'm wrong. Kenny moved Timm to the leadoff spot in Ames and I said it "feels like a panic move." She has been awesome in that spot for 5 games now. She's still hitting at a huge clip, now showing power, AND drawing walks which she used to never do. Drew a huge walk to lead off the 10th.
I'm sure this has been hashed out before but why do we only have 1 good pitcher. I know that one highly rated pitcher left for marshal arts or something like that but that was last year. Now we have exhausted our best pitchure - 2 wins but the question to me remains why just one lead? Is it lack of $ or Recruitment by coaches? Maybe both?

The pitchers we have recruited haven’t worked out. Crandall specifically. She was supposed to be our second pitcher but has been really inconsistent.
Deal is, Crandell, was really inconsistent last year also. Did we just fail in the portal beside missing on Hightschool picthers - and HS don't really pan put early unless like Bahl?

Looks like there is no where on the schedule to make up the Wichita state game or complete the suspended one. So I assume the suspended game will go down as a loss.

It has been a long time since OSU softball recruited a HS pitcher, developed her, and she became a big contributor.
Almost all of them have been transfers. That's been one of the huge keys to this program getting to OKC so much.
Last year to go along with Ruby, there was Crandall, Kutz, and Aycock.
Be the end of the regular season, only Ruby could get anybody out. That's on Eberle.
Now, Kutz quit the sport, Crandall is probably worse, and Aycock is pitching better at Ole Miss than she ever did at OSU.
Find the common denominator.
I was thinking, after tonight's win, that with how the offense has come around, and with Ruby being Ruby, this team is just one piece away from being an OKC contender.
But that piece, another effective pitcher, isn't on the roster.
