Today’s game reinforces what I said yesterday, the offense lays down when Ruby doesn’t pitch, but can miraculously score in bunches when she does pitch.

How is Hoffman not an everyday player? She is on fire

She is just now getting back in the groove after missing last year with a torn ACL. Doesn’t really have a position other than pitcher. Put her at DP and Hasler has to C or sit, and she is a defensive liability at C. Schneidmiller is a better defensive catcher and has been hitting well this year, so Hasler has been the DP and Schneidmiller the C.

I think in this case, too, like we've been saying, there's just not someone you can replace. I suggested Schneidmiler. and she went and had a huge weekend. Austin showed why she has to play with that catch in the first inning.

Kenny just needs to keep picking his spots like he has been.

There's also Henderson and Castillo who have given great ABs, too. Keep them all and next year could be KG's best offensive team.

I agree, it’s not easy!! I mean what position does she play? She came in as a pitcher but was a UTL player in HS. We’ve already sacrificed too much defense by putting Godwin at second and McDonald at first. Castillo will likely be the starter at catcher next season. Henderson will likely be our DH along with Hoffman. If Hoffman can play OF so be it, and she’s feeling good enough to pitch, let’s see and maybe she pitches and DH’s

She’s a valuable PH off the bench as well as Henderson and Castillo. This team is hitting enough as it is. Forcing Hoffman won’t change much. This team will go as far as the pitching takes us and that’s the biggest problem.
