Iowa State Cyclones @ Oklahoma State Cowboys game thread

Thank goodness it’s over. Great job by Bowen and the D for a tremendous turnaround from the Grantham disaster and continuing to fight even with an inept offense.

A lot of credit has been given to Meacham for “keeping it together” but he has shown to be a horrible hire on offense and really failed miserably there. Really disappointing he couldn’t even put together one game, as others like UCLA, Va Tech, etc have been able to do under the same circumstances.

We should no longer hear about 0-10-1 and living through that. 1-10, and 0-16 in B12 the last two years have surpassed that.

Having lived through both eras of futility I will say that 0-10-1 was worse because we were told consistently that we should keep Jones and would always suck. 0-10-1 was also worse because we brought in someone to make us incrementally better. Weiberg has handled this much better.

Agreed..

0-10-1 seemed inevitable and there wasn’t much hope that it would get significantly better at the time.

I feel more hope at this point than I did then.

Of course….it’s the hope that kills.

It's knowing it's the hope that kills you, that kills you. (Slow Horses)

If Hauss hadn't got hurt, I wonder if we'd be 7-5 now, going to some forgettable bowl, and looking to another season of Gundy Ball.
HH was not that much better than Flores. When the defense switched from man to zone in his one game, he couldn’t hit squat. And with the joke of a OL it was merely a matter it time until he was injured trying to run.
