Funny Political Memes

There is actually a ton of truth in this.

Unfortunately, instead of it being a laudable goal for us to work towards, it seems to be often being used as yet another holier-than-thou divisive theme to ridicule other people and docs. Not to mention it is also being used as an absolute which patently is not true. For example, while there are cancers that occur more commonly in people with obesity, the idea that all cancers are due to toxins and bad diet is patently false.
More to the point, the idea that you can treat cancer by eating differently is foolish. There was the woman in Australia, the influencer, who was bilking people faking treating cancer (Belle Gibson) by eating an "organic whole foods diet" and selling books and products over Instagram and Apple apps. People want to believe that garbage, and it hurts people, delaying actual treatment.

I saw similar in the medical marijuana world. I heard the same story about someone that survived a glioblastoma who was using a ton of Rick Simpson oil several times.

When I mentioned survivorship bias it was not met with "thanks for the knowledge" rather "I thought you were one of the doctors on our side."

If it sounds too good to be true…
