Funny Political Memes

Holy poop you actually spent the time looking that up over a meme. 100% worth posting. I figured it was 80% made up BS anyway.
Maybe I don’t understand what a “meme” is but I thought it should have humor along with some truth, and maybe some exaggeration or obvious fiction.

Black and white print with false “facts” isn’t a meme just because it is in picture format not text format, is it?

Coming from the king of the trolls. Is that a compliment.

It was 100 percent factual, deceptive but factual.

Cruz should learn what the word "start" means.

Texas decides to mid-term redraw maps. California RESPONDS to this action. Cruz: "California started it!"

The thing is, as I have said before, their supporters now will support them no matter what they say or do. I don't think that they think supporters are dumb. What they know is that they, and their supporters, would rather do things to "win" rather than doing the things that have made us such a successful republic.

Cali finished and enacted their last Gerrymandering in 23. They set the law and started drawing it in 21. No idea when Texas started drawing their new district map before finally enacting it this year. Cruz and Newsom are both equally FOS on this. I'm betting both states started redrawing maps right after the census pretty standard practice.

No, they are not equally FOS.

California may have taken until 2023 to fully enact the changes from the 2020 census, but that was not a mid-cycle redistricting.
The last time that happened was Georgia Republicans in 2005. Two decades is not an "all the time" thing.

Democrats suck, they have some ok ideas and some bad ideas. They have very weak candidates and poor leadership at the current time. They let Trump win by being reactive to his antics rather than charting a better course.

That said, attempting to equate their normal political suckage to the MAGA/Trump roughshodding of the ideals of our republic in every way possible also sucks and is simply wrong. Something can be bad, but still not as bad as something else.

Democrats lost in 2024 because they are openly hostile to young men and the working class. Harris didn’t get endorsements from the two largest unions in the country, when once upon a time Democrats owned the working class. And how have Democrats responded to the loss? By calling the working class stupid. They’ve essentially doubled down on the things that cost them the election.

For sure. Still doesn’t equate to Trump and the republicans right now.

Also, part of their being openly hostile to young men (and, let’s be honest here, mostly white men) is that Trump has brought out the dark side of many of these people and made them hateful and divisive. It is difficult to win over someone who thinks you are not just Americans with a different opinion on issue, but the real enemy of America and trying to cause our downfall. Trump can do whatever he wants, as the base thinks it has to happen to save us. They trust him more than they trust our system of government.

That is why I am excited by Talarico. While he probably isn't ready for prime time, he is about the only democrat that has the ability to respond to MAGA in a way that separates their rhetoric but doesn't insult.

I'm genuinely asking, what should the Dems do? The working class voting for Trump was monumentally stupid. Unions voting for trump, monumentally stupid. They were lied to, and bought it. So how are the Dems supposed to respond to that?

I'll just have to take peoples word for it that dems were "openly hostile" towards young men. Young (white) men have been told, and shown, for a very long time that they "deserve" everything. Dems come in and say, "hey, how about everybody gets a fair share" and suddenly it's openly hostile? Meh.
