It’s a common misconception/misrepresentation used to justify “look at how much of the country supports the republican candidate”. Very “can you hear us now?” schtick. Fortunately, land doesn’t vote and people do (when they show up). A much better representation would be a map showing the equivalent population size per county, similar to this one from 2020. I searched for a 2024 version but wasn’t able to locate one.
It's an old trope. I remember seeing similar maps used for political fodder as far back as 2020.
For example, here is the 2008 map:

They are pretty close. If you were to guess you would think Republicans dominated both but we all know both were landslide electoral victories by one party over the other.

I was really close to starting a joke thread about a possible terror attack in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve. Figured it might not be tasteful though.
You obviously missed my point. By posting this he’s claiming that Republicans are Christians and Democrats are something other. Hate to be the one to tell you but supposedly that Constitution used to cover the rights of every citizen not just MAGA Republicans. Just like it used to be no one was above the law. So bringing religion into politics might be good for a quick laugh to MAGAstanis but your Trump worship makes you the other IMO, Not only were you and your kind the sorriest losers in 2020, but now you’re unsurprisingl the sorriest winners. No tears on this liberals eyes over Trump and his followers, just flabbergasted that so many people of “faith” put their trust in an extremely flawed man. Only one of my neighbors took down his Trump flag today. I don’t think Trump has much in common with Christmas either. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
