I get what he was saying about this being a funny memes thread but what you said is what I’ve seen and it goes to the point of what a lot of posters say about the average Magastani.

They see these things on their social media and it becomes reality. Yes the market went up and down in the 4 yrs of Biden and the overall trend line was up. Nothing like 3800 in 2 days and that chart completely ignores that.

Not funny for being posted in a funny memes thread. But to each their own I guess.

And I still think my replies were funny.

To be fair, 2022 was the result of inflationary spending by the federal government in a post covid economy. That was going to be a bumpy ride. Now we had a decent economy the current president is trying to burn to the ground because he thinks the Canadians were screwing us somehow. One of the adults in the room was supposed to be the commerce secretary but his presence hasn't worked out really well. Based on other things the administration has done so far, it's a fair assumption that potential damage to the economy is being caused by a combination of incompetent leadership and a desire to intentionally wreck things to give the wealthy cheaper buying opportunities.

So yeah, if you want to look at 2022 and shrug but panic now, it's probably a logical way to process the situation.
