Theres also first hand experience. The Johnson and Johnson shot made me gain 15 pounds.
Once again, post hoc ergo propter hoc is a logical fallacy. You gained 15 pounds. It doesn’t logically follow that the shot caused you to gain 15 pounds.

First hand experience is just another way of saying limited observation or anecdotal experience. Again, there’s a very good reason why we do not rely on it and instead rely on randomized clinical trials. Because, as you have so effectively demonstrated to us, people cannot avoid logical fallacies in their recollections. RCTs eliminate as many sources of bias as possible.

Sounds more like the Johnsonville and Johnsonville shot.

I think you took @Stillwaterman comment/joke too literally. Remember the first word in this thread.

Can I also blame the covid shots for my weight gain? I'm middle age, eat too much dessert and dont exercise enough, but it's the shots right?
But you also gained the weight during/after the pandemic, right?

It wasn’t social isolation, loneliness, depression, comfort eating, being home with nothing to do but eat… it was the shot. Had to be the shot. Couldn’t be anything else.

He was speaking metaphorically? In allegory? It was all an allusion?

OMFG.

Yeah.

Come on man, just because it has do do with medicine shouldn't omit it from being a joke. I thought he was being funny.
@Stillwaterman's joke about Johnson and Johnson vaccine causing him to gain 15 lbs WAS funny and was clearly a joke.

RX didn't recognize that one.

However, he seems to be pretty serious in arguing about there being different versions of ivermectin for animals than for humans AND the validity of treating COVID with ivermectin
Thank you.

"Lemoi began taking the version of ivermectin designed for animals on a daily basis".

It's about what I figured.

I respect your opinion, but there are also plenty of others out there that know more than me that disagree with you. A doctor I have known for 30 years prescribed it in my hometown (to many of my close friends/families) and every story I know of had a positive outcome. Thats pretty much the extent of my knowledge outside of the random article. I'm also pretty skeptical about all things medical, so when in doubt I'm going with folks I know.
As for me.....when @RxCowboy starts throwing out the latin for logical fallacies instead the colloquial terms (post hoc ergo propter hoc is just "correlation equals causation" logical fallacy), I recognize he's on a roll that probably isn't go to stop for a while and just step out of the way.

Oh, I love @RxCowboy info.
I didn't want him to stop, just didn't want him to be upset about that.
