Fire NARDO!!!

Is there anybody on the defense we feel good about for next year? I believe the answer is no. The portal will be critical because the defense needs a total overhaul starting with all the defensive coaches.
You not high on KD?…😂

Seriously though, I don’t think the talent is as bad as this staff made them look this year. I think the ends, Jaleel Johnson and DeSean Brown, could be solid. I also think there’s some guys in the secondary, the Smiths, Kabongo, Epps, Rawls, that can be successful with better coaching and schemes. I’d imagine though we’ll end up seeing some of these guys succeeding in other programs.

Defense and Special teams cost us the game.

Nardo has no business coaching at Oklahoma State. The stats from his defense from top to bottom are embarrassing.

Smith and Fields are 2 guys we need to hang on to in the off-season.

Ollie was great. Rashod had a few awesome moments.

I sat in BPS today and cheered on my Pokes...but at the same time...pissed at how the program has been embarrassed this season. We are better than this and deserve better results.

I could see Nardo getting another season only because the defense was devastated with injuries. We looked really good against Utah and in the 2nd half of the Arkansas game.
Dunn on the other hand has ran this program into the ditch. Absolutely no excuse for being so pathetic on offense. We have the most experienced line in the nation, a Heisman candidate at RB, a potential All-American in Presley to go along with one of the best WR core in the nation. His play calling and offensive organization is beyond atrocious. I would blindly take any other OC in the country and bet every dollar I've got that they would have done a better job and that we'd be bowling at a bare minimum. Dunn is a complete and total disaster and a disgrace to this university. Under his direction I can not point to 1 player who has gotten better. Should have been fired 2 years ago.

I could understand dropping a couple steps down when nfl caliber players get hurt, but injuries are part of the game. The fact he can’t find any talent to where we replace those injured players with nearly as good substitutes is an indictment of his scope of competency. We haven’t been replacing the talent we’ve lost on defense since 2021. Nobody of skill is sold on him as a recruit / transfer. He’s a trash playcaller, and he’s a trash recruiter, he’s a trash talent developer. The dude has zero redeeming qualities to justify him coaching at the top level of college football.

No freaking way Gundy would be able to pull off trying to bring Nardo back next year. Financial support for the program will take too big of a hit if he does. I think he tries to keep Dunn though.

I hope you're wrong. Dunn has proven he is incapable of coordinating a competitive offense. He will likely never have an offense as talented as the one he just pissed away.

You can’t be serious. If Nardo is back the entire administration including ADCW and Schrum should be fired for incompetence in not forcing Gundy to make a change. This D is historically bad, probably the worst in OSU history. Please stop using the Gundy injury excuses. If your D relies on 2 guys being healthy all year, otherwise it’s a dumpster fire, that should get you fired.

2nd half against Arky, really?!! Do you not remember that game? A very mediocre Arkansas offense trashed us the first half with both Martin and Oliver on the field, then Pittman took the foot off the gas and it cost them. And Utah?!! They ran it down our throats for 250 and a true freshman threw for another 200. Have you seen the Utah offense this year? They fired their OC mid season they were so bad. You left out the Kstate game, where Martin was on the field all game, as a matter of fact too long, because they got him injured in meaningless minutes.

With a healthy Martin and Oliver all year, we may have not been historically bad, but just really really bad. Probably 120s or so instead of 133rd. Those injuries likely cost us 1 (BYU for sure) or possibly 2 games.

Not disagreeing with that at all. I want Dunn gone too. I just know how Gundy tries to act like everything is fine so he won't have to actually put in the effort to replace 2 coordinators at the same time. With Nardo, there is no choice. He keeps him and boosters will take it as a middle finger and Gundy saying "I'll do what I want."

I'm not trying to defend Nardo. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he's fired too, but Dunn absolutely must go.
Not defending Dunn, he should be gone too. He’s had plenty of time and with the experience and weapons he’s had this season the production was inexcusable. But it’s hard to call a game when you’re constantly at a significant deficit the first half. And I think Gundy was the one more loyal to Bowman than Dunn was.

It would be interesting to hear from some of the outgoing defensive guys after the season ends of what actually went on with the defensive side, their thoughts on Nardo and the staff. Can’t imagine there’s any way those guys were confident in the game plans each week. There’s been some indications that the defensive staff is dysfunctional, and not rowing the same direction. That would be an interesting podcast listen.
Keep JBC. Replace the rest.

Have you seen what Dunn could do with a mobile quarterback who can throw bullets?

I think we're on the same page. I don't quite have the same amount of disdain for Nardo...yet, but If the donors are in agreement that he's had enough time then I'm in agreement as well.
As far as Dunn goes... I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 20 years and a small time donor to this program and the NIL *NOWHERE NEAR SPIDER RICO lol*" and I'll burn every bit of orange i own on the front steps of GIA if he calls this offense again next year.

I think we all seen how well he did with Spencer Sanders. We had the best defense in the nation and may have very well won the whole thing if our offense would have been just bad instead of historically pathetic.

Our defensive front really struggles to get off their blocks. I don’t think that can all be coaching. Technique is critical but desire and Talent are importnsnt as well.

I don’t think so, the last two years were a D and F grade wise! Probably see three assistants replaced and an entirely new defense next year via the portal, MAYBE two current players will remain as relevant options for next season!!!!!! 🤔
