We’ve all said that!! 😂. He left out Texas. Which right now in this league is the only one that can and has kept pace. Now you’ve got 7-8 in your league. The hubris is laughable.

Try to keep up pumpkin.
Yeah the money in sec is massive, everyone has it there. They have nicer facilities and better coaches and it's just better there. part of the appeal and why they recruit the best

neither riley nor stoops ever had 3 straight top 10 classes and BV is about to do it. And there's a big gap between the typical top 15 classes OU got in between the top 10 years vs the top 5 and top 10s BV keeps getting. just bringing in better players to replace the ones going out. every bit of riley's culture will be gone after this season
Who are you trying to convince?

ou is a top 3-5 football program all time. Recruiting is never going to be a problem. No one who follows OSU argues that, we’ve f*****g lived it.

The dynamic has changed. Now you have multiple big time heavyweights that can go toe to toe. If you can’t see that, it will be fun watching you (and your ilk) learn.

MT needs to find a better dispensary that sells a much higher caliber product! 😝

It's nothing to be convinced of, it's just how it is, BV is recruiting better than his predecessors did. THey recruited well but not well enough. As you saw in the playoffs getting blown out when playing those teams who recruit top 5 classes.

Now, he's Getting the kind of players that uga, bama and ohio state want, beating them for players instead of fighting lesser programs for talent. That's the difference we were looking for. BV is getting the 5 star qb and rb and TE , but he's also getting 5 star db and DTs and DE's in successive classes and getting way more quality depth.. That's what was missing before and we all know it.

You wouldnt guess that they havent had some of their best players on d this year because of the depth. I'm looking forward to the heavyweights, playing the best is where OU wants to be. and the recruits like it too

I didn’t read past the first sentence.

You’re working awfully hard to say you’re not trying to convince anyone. I too go to the ou boards to spout how great osu is so they’ll agree with me. Oh wait, no I don’t because that’s dumb.

Last year they set a record in athletic donations of 109 million, which was the first time they hit 100 million in one year. Seems to be trending in the right direction. and theyre about to double their conference payouts in sec. the donor base has been energized, and they are funneling dough into NIL too, which seems to be working. unless it's all venables out there getting these guys to commit. OU's either broke or they arent.

So now they have a level of money to work with they never had before. all these other sec programs, they've had it for a while. we know what they can do, now we get to see what OU can do with that kind of cash. so far it's been good.

auburn, tennessee, and mississippi arent even top 10 but florida is, just ahead of OU. and this is before OU gets that sec money
Let’s stipulate that you’re correct, just for kicks and giggles. You do realize you are pointing out how much money has been spent and “blue chip” athletic careers wasted just to be:
a) shut out of the conf championship the past two years in football and needing a gift from some teams to get in this year to even have a chance
b) getting beat like a rented mule in basketball

I thought that deal got killed?
This past September the project was revived and is supposed to be voted 🗳️ n by Norman city council by yrs end. It’s actually a pretty cool concept and will be a $1B entertainment/retail district. 80% private and 20% city. The 10,000 seat arena will be off campus and a part of the proposed entertainment district. Looks like it’s adjacent to I35 on the west side.

According to 247 avg player ranking uo is closer to UCF than they are Bama or Georgia. There are 8 sec schools w a higher player avg than uo including South Carolina. A 9th school is 2/10’s behind uo.

Also per 247 arg player ranking BV is recruiting below LR and on par (maybe slightly better than BS). LR had 2 classes 3 points better on avg than BV. BS had classes that in some yrs were 2.5 points on avg worse. But for the most part BV and BS recruit about the same.

Also BS/LR had QB transfers that were Heiseman caliber and BV has none.

In summary BV is recruiting on par w previous uo coaches over the last 15 yrs. Those classes gave uo a significant talent edge over every program in the Big12 except Texas. Uo is joining a conference where 8 teams have player rankings higher and in some cases significantly higher than uo and another 2 are basically equal.

We can say it until we’re blue in the face. Guess we’ll have to let reality speak for itself over blind homerism.

I already knew I was correct. Also it's not wasted at all. would you consider all the money osu spent on the thousands of players and their careers over the last so many decades to be wasted because they never won sh8t?

Yes, if you are implying that OU has been in a rebuild the last two years, you are correct. If you are implying that 1 bad season in 2022 means OU has fallen off a cliff, i have some bad news for you andy. True, OU is in 2nd year of a rebuild, with 97 new players and they are 8-2. Last year they were 5-5.

Being 8-2 with a the same coaches from a 6-7 team shows me they know what they are doing. Having a top 10 offense and a scoring D in the 20s is spectacular. They are about to sign the third straight top 10 class for the first time since the switzer era. But you somehow interpret this as downward spiral? I'll need you to explain why i should be sad right now instead of excited. all i feel is excitement about the current team and of course about their future prospects.

In regard to basketball- OU is currently undefeated beating opponents by nearly 40 points per game, so it look like moser figured out the portal this year. meanwhile osu has lost to ....checks notes...Abilene christian? nice.

Since the 24 class is ongoing and the 23 class is complete, we go with 23. According to the composite rankings for the 23 class OU average player rating is 91.47 and uga is 94.06. That's less than 3 points difference. Ucf player rating average is 87.79, which is more than 3 points difference. You dont have to lie just to make a really dumb point. OU's player rating is 10th, uga is 2nd. meanwhile central floridas was 31st. Not even comparable.

This would put OU's player rating average of 91.47 at #7 in sec, right behind aggie, ahead of south carolina. So that's another lie.

The difference between the player rating of BV's 91.47 and riley's 91.67 is irrelevant. But i might say, it's nice to recruit this well in spite of not having world class beaches and restraurants and a west coast lifestyle.

In summation, to discount another lie on your part- BV is recruiting at a higher level than riley and stoops did. neither of those guy had 3 straight top 10 classes. and riley definitely nefer got 5 star qbs, rbs, tight ends while also getting 5 star DT, DE and DBs.

Try harder.

I thought uo was so good they didn't rebuild they reloaded. 🤣

To clarify I was using 2024 247 per player averages. No lies in my post but nice of you to cherry pick data. Also per 247 per player avg NOT CLASS RANKING because we are talking about relative personnel talent to compare teams BV has yet to recruit to uo individual talent that reaches the top 2 classes by player avg (NOT CLASS RANKING) of Lincoln Riley while he was at uo. He also is recruiting individual talent (NOT CLASS RANKINGS) at a level pretty much in line w Bob Stoops. Again ignoring the fact that 2 of Stoops best players were transfers to which BV has yet to accomplish.

Again all of this relates to your graphic on “blue chip talent” which is NOT CLASS RANKINGS.

UO is recruiting talent (I.e. individual players and say it w me NOT F’N CLASS RANKINGS) at the same level it has for the last 15 yrs. In those same 15 yrs only one team in the Big12 has CONSISTENTLY recruited individuals to that level. You are moving to a conference that has 3 teams that pretty much out recruit uo to the same gap as uo vs the next best Big12 team save Texas and 4-5 others that are recruiting individual talent better than uo and another 2 that are within decimal points.

But you go ahead and keep hanging “Top 10 Recruiting Class” like you’re Texas aTm.
